Wat deze reis onvergetelijk maakt is dat we een 4 x4 cabriolet jeep gebruiken, die geweldig is voor 360 graden uitzicht op het bos en geeft de tour ook de aantrekkingskracht van avontuur. Een bezoek aan het bos in een jeep , geeft u de ideale dimensie van de grootte van het nationale park , evenals zijn ware schoonheid.

De Tijuca Forest Tour, is waarschijnlijk een van de top 5 meest populaire tours in de stad Rio de Janeiro. Het bos wordt beschouwd als het grootste stadsbos ter wereld. Het vertegenwoordigt 7% van het grondgebied van de hele stad, en het is ook bekend als de longen van Rio. De stad bezoeken zonder het bos te zien, is als naar de stad New York gaan en het Central Park niet zien. Rio gaat helemaal over de natuur, wilde plekken en prachtige uitzichten. Al deze 3 dingen kunnen worden gezien en genoten in Tijuca-bos. Onze tour neemt je mee door deze prachtige groene wereld, terwijl onderweg vogels, kleine zoogdieren en exotische planten te zien zijn. Veel voorkomende soorten zijn de Saguis- en Kapucijnenapen, evenals de quatis (Braziliaanse wasbeer), die daar gemakkelijk te zien zijn. In termen van vogels, toekans, Canariërs, buizerds, haviken en vele andere soorten kunnen onderweg worden gezien. Verschillende routes die het bos combineren met bezoeken aan Sugar Loaf, Corcovado en stranden aan de westkust kunnen ook worden genomen, kijk gewoon in onze combo-sectie. Tour omvat bezoeken aan de watervallen van Taunay (alleen voor foto's, niet douchen), Vista Chinesa (Chinese weergave) en bezoekerscentrum.
We stoppen bij de Taunay watervallen voor foto's en wat uitleg over de locatie en waar de naam vandaan komt. Mogelijkheid om wilde dieren zoals wasberen en apen te zien
We stoppen buiten de kapel waar we van buitenaf beroemde schilderijen van Braziliaanse kunstenaars kunnen zien. We doen ook een kleine 20 minuten wandeling rond de kapel
We stoppen bij Vista Chinesa (Chinees uitzicht) dat is een oude constructie gemaakt in het begin van de 20e eeuw ter ere van de Chinese gemeenschap die leefde in de lagere delen van het bos, het verbouwen van thee. Het uitzicht over de stad vanaf die locatie is adembenemend
We maken een kleine stop bij Mesa do Imperador (keizerstafel) een stenen tafel gebouwd in de 19e eeuw, die vroeger bezoekers ontving van de hoge scientie van Rio, voor picknicks, waaronder onze keizer Dom Pedro II.
Een korte stop bij de Cachoeira dos Primatas (mOnkey`s watervallen) is ook inbegrepen. De plaats kreeg zijn naam vanwege de grote hoeveelheid apen die er elke dag te zien zijn
Een klein meertje gebouwd in de buurt van de uitgang van het nationaal park op sector A, zeer charmant en met veel schildpadden en karpervissen.

The tour was incredibly (Christo+ Nationalparc) well organized from start to finish. Bernardo was extremely friendly and clearly put a great deal of effort into everything. You can genuinely learn a lot during the tour, as he shares very interesting and engaging facts throughout. It was perfectly organized from A to Z.

Eliel, our guide, was very good. The “jeep” is a Chevrolet truck but was good. The forest is in the city. We saw no animals or birds. We could not go into the visitor center or the Chinese palace. The short waterfall was scenic. We were unable to go to the taller waterfall. The drive back through the beach areas was the highlight.
Hello there. Some parts of the park were closed because we had a sudden storm alert and when that happens the park closes some parts without notice. About the animals it is a natural habitat so we cannot guarantee that animals can be seen. But you forgot to mention that you saw the big rodents we call capybaras at the lagoon. It’s an open air Jeep so best to remind clients to bring some protection from sun or rain or winds. Best thing about this tour was some view points, looking down onto the city and surrounding area.
yes its an open vehicle and that is mentioned on the tour page but your tittle seems like you were dissapointed with that fact, sorry to hear that and thank you for the review
This tour was not as described. It was not in a jeep, and the "adventure" component was not as expected. We hiked less than a quarter of a mile on a trail from one side of a roadway to another. Our guide was not knowledgeable about the wildlife and didn't know much about the forest, its history, or other background. His driving was dangerous, and we even had a tire blowout after he hit a rock. He drove us to Santa Teresa and the Selaron steps, but he had nothing to share with us about what we were looking at. I would encourage other travelers to find a safer, more knowledeable tour operator.
I am not sure what you mean because we only use 4x 4 convertible vehicles in this tour and we call them jeeps. These are serious accusations about our vehicle and guide so can you qt least give us the name of the guide? Was it a driver guide or the tour had a guide and a driver?
My family and I had a blast on this tour. Felipe was our guide and he was puntual, super nice and knowledgeable about Rio and the forest. He took us to all the hot spots for excellent picture taking. He was helpful in taking our photos and getting us to our next tour. I would definitely recommend this tour.

Our jeep tour was great, and the guide was excellent. The Organizer told us (via WhatsApp) the day before that the hike to Pedra Bonita was canceled due to weather-related reasons and that we would be offered an alternate hike. However, the guide on the day of the tour told us there was no hike included and that it was just a jeep tour. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this tour. Management of this tour appears to be very unorganized.

Right from the first plea for help, Rio adventures were absolutely outstanding. They hooked us up with a tour that fit us beautifully. Communication was the best. We had the most amazing time with our guide, Gilberto, who was really patient, knowledgeable and so adaptable. He communicated with me via WhatsApp the day prior to our tour and his instructions about where to meet feom our cruise was precise and easy to follow.. a short 3min walk. Absolutely safe as houses. Our tour was so good, waterfalls and caves. The weather turned, and we ended up cutting our forest tour short.. our decision. But Gilberto took us to a few amazing places to fill in our time. We ALL thoroughly enjoyed our day.
