Onze ervaren Gids Gids je rond op de hoofdsite van het IWM, die de Britse ervaring in conflicten sinds 1914 beschrijft, met bijzondere aandacht voor de twee wereldoorlogen. Van daaruit reis je naar de oude Cabinet War Rooms.
De Churchill (of Cabinet) War Rooms huisvestte de belangrijkste gereedschappen en personeel van de Britse oorlogsadministratie tussen 1940 en 1945, onder leiding van premier Winston Churchill. We zullen kijken naar zijn leven en geschiedenis, en verkennen enkele van de extra figuren van de regering, zoals de chef-staf en Churchill's belangrijkste militaire adviseur, Hastings Ismay.

Our guide Sheldon was fantastic. Extremely knowledgeable. Sheldon kept us engaged the entire tour with information and interesting facts.

We had a couple of guides who were kind enough to admit that this was their first tour as a newly formed partnership - they were excellent. They both have embarrassingly robust credentials, and so there is almost nothing you can ask for which they will not have an answer. However, they both did a wonderful job of "keeping it simple" and understandable - cramming three decades and two world wars of history into a 3 hour tour is no small task. Nicely done.
