Geniet met ons van dit geweldige avontuur vol adembenemende landschappen; dit is een onmisbare route die geleidelijk aan erg populair wordt bij alle bezoekers van Cusco. Het Humantay-meer ligt op 4200 hoogte in het district Mollepata, 25 kilometer op een onverharde weg van het centrum van Mollepata. Vervolgens wordt een wandeling van 3 km gemaakt om de bestemming te bereiken. Als je van natuur en wandelen houdt, is deze plek ideaal. Humantay, is een besneeuwde berg die deel uitmaakt van het Andesgebergte, waaronder de majestueuze Salkantay en Humantay bergen, die bij de dooi de lagune doen ontstaan die, vanwege zijn unieke turquoise kleur, de interesse opwekt van buitenlandse en nationale bezoekers. De wandeling naar de plek geeft je een gevoel van vrede en rust dankzij de natuurlijke schoonheid waarmee je jezelf zult vinden.

De tour begint je op te halen bij je hotel om ongeveer 04:00 uur, afhankelijk van de locatie van je hotel zal de ophaaltijd heel anders zijn.
Als de groep klaar is, begint het grote avontuur in de richting van het Humantay-meer. Je reist ongeveer 2 uur met de auto in ons toeristenvervoer tot je aankomt in de gemeenschap van Mollepata. Hier geniet je van een heerlijk ontbijt voordat je verder gaat met de tour. Voortzetting van de Humantay Lake Tour, de auto verlaat de hoofdweg om de onverharde weg nog 1 uur te nemen. Tijdens de reis kun je prachtige landschappen, canyons, nevelwoud en prachtige gletsjers observeren zoals de Salkantay-gletsjer (de op een na grootste gletsjer van de regio Cusco).
Zodra je aankomt bij de laatste stop voor het busje, begint de groep ongeveer 1,5 uur te wandelen. De tijd is een gemiddelde en het hangt af van je snelheid, maar maak je geen zorgen, je zult op je ritme wandelen. De wandeling is een beetje meer stappen dan de Rainbow Mountain Tour, dus probeer veel stops te maken om niet snel moe te worden. Bij het bereiken van het ongelooflijke turkooizen meer van Humantay, heeft de hele groep de informatie van de gids en vrije tijd om meer van de plaats te verkennen, ongeveer 40 minuten om terug te gaan naar de parkeerplaats. EINDE VAN DE TOUR Na 1 uur lunch je in hetzelfde restaurant als 's ochtends. Omdat de wandeling veel inspanning vraagt, is de lunch Buffet om alle energie die verloren is gegaan tijdens de wandeling terug te krijgen. Als u de Humantay Lake Tour beëindigt, keert u terug naar de stad Cusco en arriveert u om ongeveer 17.00 uur, waar ons vervoer u naar het stadscentrum brengt of als het een privéservice is naar uw respectievelijke hotel. Yesi is a great guide; she does her job with love, and it shows. The experience is incredible and very enjoyable if you are in good physical condition. We would definitely return happily.
We hired the Perú Grand Travel agency, still in Brazil, with 2 months left for our trip that happened in June/26. They solved everything for us! They made the transfer from the airport, the tours were the way we asked to serve my husband who has motor difficulties. The guide Yessi was super careful, respectful with my husband and everyone in the group I indicate a lot. Super confident. Very precious Yessi guide!! Oops! The agency asks for a 25% advance payment, super understand if you give me a little. But you can trust.
From start to finish, it was an excellent tour. They picked us up at the agreed time (very early, which helped us arrive at the destination without other tourists). The driver Jaime was very kind at all times, and he took us to all the destinations safely and quickly. We had a buffet breakfast halfway through the trip to the Humantay lagoon, with very good products, which was greatly appreciated to arrive with energy for the trekking. The guide Roony let us sleep on the way to the lake, and there, he was attentive to the whole group (those who rode horses and those of us who trekked) and explained some things about the site and the local culture along the way. Then at the lagoon, he was always willing to take photos of all of us (showing us the best spots) and he gave us an explanation of the lagoon, the mountains, and the treks that can be done. On the way back, we stopped for lunch at the same place where we had breakfast, everything was very delicious. And on the return trip to Cusco, the guide provided us with information about some Inca terraces.
Beautiful experience. The Humantay Lake is unique and incredible. Roony was our guide and took care of every person in the group. In my case, due to an injury to my foot, I rode a mule, and everything was very organized. I appreciate the explanation Roony gave us about Humantay Lake: history and anecdotes. His passion and professionalism for what he does is evident. Jaime, the driver, is very professional.

Very good tour! The place is beautiful, so the hike is worth it. Roony is an excellent guide keeping you motivated all the way and taking care of your health with advice and previous warm-up. Plus very clear and simple explanations of local history.

Very good experience. We were picked up in Cusco at 3:50am and had breakfast at a buffet in less than 30 minutes. This allowed us to reach the lagoon before anyone else. We had the whole place just for ourselves and the pictures were amazing. Most visitors don’t arrive so early and their photos are not so clean. 100% recommended. Very good experience. And our guide Rafael excellent.
