We beginnen 's ochtends vroeg met het ophalen bij je hotel in Cusco. Het voertuig brengt ons door de steden Izcuchaca en Limatambo om de Salkantay-route in te gaan en bij het punt te komen waar we aan de trek beginnen. We zullen 1 km lopen tot we aankomen op de Soraypampa camping, op 12.795 voet hoogte, waar we zullen ontbijten. Daarna beginnen we met de stijgende trektocht gedurende anderhalf uur totdat we de Humantay-lagune bereiken, gelegen op 13,451 voet hoogte. Hier kunnen we de kleurvariatie zien, afhankelijk van het perspectief dat ons het punt geeft waar we ons zullen bevinden, naast de gletsjer als achtergrond die naar de lagune gaat, als het weer het toelaat. Na het nemen van foto's en rusten van het lopen op die hoogte, gaan we terug naar de camping, waar we zullen lunchen. Daarna lopen we naar ons voertuig om terug te keren naar het centrum van Cusco, waar onze tour eindigt.

I took the tour to Humantay Lake with Machupicchu Nice, and it was a wonderful experience. From the very beginning everything was well organized: the pick-up was punctual, the transportation was comfortable, and the guide was very kind and professional, always attentive to our needs, The hike up to the lake was challenging, but it was absolutely worth it. Once at the top, I was amazed by the beauty of the place—the turquoise color of the water and the snow-capped mountains surrounding the lake. Both breakfast and lunch were very good and complete, I 100% recommend this tour to anyone visiting Cusco. Thanks to Machupicchu Nice for making this experience so special.
