We bezoeken het Amber Museum, een uitstekend voorbeeld van Victoriaanse architectuur dat een unieke verzameling waardevolle monsters van Dominicaanse barnsteen herbergt. Experts zeggen dat deze barnsteen, bekend als de meest transparante ter wereld, kwalificeert als halfedelstenen. Gevormd uit boomsap dat in de loop van miljoenen jaren is uitgehard, waardoor veel planten- en insectenfossielen zijn gevangen. We zullen ook een stop maken bij de Rom-fabriek, sigarenfabriek, Sombrella Street, Rosada Street of Paseo de Doña Blanca, Chichigua Street, Shopping, Surbenir, Historisch centrum, Fort San Felipe, panoramisch uitzicht, kathedraal, restaurant en strand. laat u ook de woonwijken zien van een prachtig huis met panoramisch uitzicht en het strand en als u naar een restaurant wilt gaan om automatische Dominicaanse of buitenlandse gerechten te eten, nemen wij dat ook mee

Als ze roken, krijgen ze een gratis sigaar van goede kwaliteit bij een deel van onze rondleidingen en als ze sigaren willen kopen, doen ze dat verkoop het in de fabriek

My tour guide, Rigo, was wonderful and very kind. He showed us a lot of Puerto Plata, including some wonderful views from the mountain and the downtown area. My son is learning Spanish and Rigo was so encouraging and sweet with him. He seemed to know everyone around the city, so it felt like we were being escorted by a celebrity. ☺️ We really felt the warm, welcoming, friendly spirit of the Dominican Republic with him. He also took some great photos/videos for us, which was so, so nice! My only complaint is that the cable car to the top of the mountain wasn't in service due to upgrades. It (obviously) wasn't his fault, but I wish the company had updated the activity description accordingly--especially because it sounds like it has been out of order for a while. If I could have done it over again, I'd joyfully book a tour with Rigo again... But I am disappointed that we didn't have this specific experience that we were really looking forward to.

Pretty impressive tour. Was only my wife and I with Melanie our driver/tour guide. She was knowledgeable, friendly, and several times asked what else we would like to see. It seemed like she knew everyone in town as we walked around town center. Great tour and great guide! It was only the 3 of us so a very personal tour

We booked a private tour and it was one of the best tours that we have ever been on! Rigo and Jose made sure that we saw every sight and we felt like celebrities touring the different places with them. I have a mobility cart (lightweight/compact) and they were attentive to how we could get to each place and loaded unloaded when needed. This was a fabulous tour and much less than what the cruise line offered but was private with only my wife and I. Highly recommend!

Rigo was great. His van was new and clean. It had great air conditioning and WiFi. He knew the city and had so many unique facts. It was a great excursion we stopped and took photos when we wanted and the planned stops were great. I would highly recommend Rigo and would definitely use him again should I be in the Dominican Republic again

Rigo and his son were such wonderful tour guides. Communication was clear and we weee picked up at the promptly at the port in a pristine van stocked with cold water and Gatorade. There were 8 of us and he tailored the tour to exactly what we wanted to do. I recommend him for all your DR travel needs. So much nicer than a cruise tour. It was a private leisurely tour.

We arranged a city tour of Puerto Plata from the Amber Cove Cruise Terminal with Carlos Pena (email: carlospena_60@hotmail.com or mobile number: 829-520-9940). Carlos met us at the taxi pick up area and took us to see Puerto Plata sights. We told him we wanted tropical fruits and fresh coconuts and Carlos took us to a fruit stand for coconut drinks, mangoes, and other tropical fruits. If you're cruising to Puerto Plata, don't hesitate to contact Carlos as his rates are a fraction of what the cruise lines charges for city tour. Carlos was able to accommodate our group of 7 comfortably.
