Yasushi was our guide and he was fabulous! As a former English teacher, he really communicated with us so well, explaining the concepts so simply and clearly so that we could fully appreciate the little things that made Kanazawa the beautiful place it is. He also organised a taxi ride (included in the tour) to the Geisha district, which was a godsend in the summer heat! Thanks again Yasushi!

Yasushi is an amazing guide! The pace was perfect, especially in the summer heat, and he shared just enough history to give context and help you see Kanazawa with different eyes. Very nice tour, Yasushi the guide an excellent guide, hes very friendly, he told us all the information amazing, he’s always checking up on everyone of us worrying about if everything is alright. He explained us every detail and all the information required in a very fun way, with quizs, comparations, histories… We went to Kanazawa garden where he told us every detail and the history from the origin, then we went to the district, we saw it all and had time to see how gold leafs were made and try ice creams with gold leafs. Definitely 10/10 experience completely recommended.

My hotel is not far from these attractions. But I decided to take a tour to safe some times. Yasushi is our tour guide. He’s amazing. He’s very informative and he knows the stories and history well. He’s very funny too. He did an amazing job. We visited the garden, the geisha town. He showed us where to have the gold leafs ice cream. He even brought us to the shop where the gold leafs were made. 1. We love the visit in the Kanasawa Park Kenroku-en park, the tour guide took time to explain the history, and the art, philosophy for us. 2. We went to the icecream place with the gold leaf of 1 um thick. Very nice experience. 3. We went to see how they made the gold leaf. And very good skills. Wonderful experience!

It was so amazing yasushi was an awesome tour guide. He kept a perfect pace and we stopped to take breaks just enough that I never felt too overwhelmed by the heat. He is so passionate about Kanazawa and I feel like I learned so much from him. I would 100% recommend taking a walking tour with him!
