Mis de kans niet voor een historische reis naar drie locaties in één volledige dag sightseeing vanuit Fez. Je gaat de keizerlijke stad MEKNES verkennen. en Romeinse ruïnes en de heilige stad. Doe mee met deze tour met kleine groepen om de kosten laag te houden, terwijl je toch gedeeld vervoer hebt tussen elke locatie. Het bezoek aan de stad Meknes zal niet eindigen zonder een bezoek aan het Marokkaans Kunstmuseum om een breed scala aan puur Marokkaans vakmanschap te ontdekken. Fatal! They didn't pick me up. I made the reservation through GetYourGuide, and last night after several attempts I am confirmed to be picked up at 9 am at my accommodation. I was waiting this morning until 10'30!!, no cell phone or calls or messages. They had to pick me up at 9 (Breakfast started at that time in my accommodation), and I didn't eat breakfast so they wouldn't wait when they came, and in the end I waited... They have given no explanation, no reply to messages, let alone apologize. I only have 3 days in Fez, I had everything organized to see things, and today I have been left without a plan, losing a day of my vacation. Fatal and very unempathetic and irresponsible...

Volubilis Roman ruins site was memorable for its historical significance. Unfortunately, a lot of things in Meknes are under reconstruction at present.
Thanks to our driver Ismaël for his kindness and availability, friendly trip with beautiful things to see, good value for money.
History is one of my passions. So I especially enjoyed Volubilis Roman ruins. The driver gave us an hour to visit the ruins, but I spent an hour and a half and could have stayed longer. He was very accommodating to tour members' individual needs if we needed more time. I met some lovely people on the tour. Another solo traveller and I wandered around Meknes together, had a picnic lunch in the park and visited the Meknes museum. We both noted that museums in Morocco can do a much better job interpreting their artefacts and informing visitors. There were no dates to indicate historical periods on any of the signs. Gift shops would be welcome.
I recently took a tour with Anwar the guide and unfortunately, my experience fell short of expectations. Despite booking with the promise of an English-speaking guide, the reality was quite different. He predominantly spoke Spanish, making it challenging for me to understand and engage in the tour. There were 5 of us on the tour; 2 Spanish speaking snd 3 English. What exacerbated the situation was the guide's tendency to exclusively cater to the two Spanish-speaking individuals, neglecting to provide translations or explanations for the English-speaking majority. This language barrier significantly impacted the overall experience, as I was unable to grasp the insights and information that he intended to share. While the towns we visited were undoubtedly beautiful, the frustration caused by the language barrier overshadowed the enjoyment of the trip. I hope this feedback serves as a constructive point for improvement, emphasizing the importance of delivering on the language preferences promised to customers. I would give a 0 star review if I could as I did not get what I paid for.
Communication regarding pickup was so bad I doubted this tour would take place and booked a different one instead, effectively paying for two tours. The organizer appeared to ignore my messages, and later to avoid any clear statement. So I did not go, and I won't get a refund either it seems because I thought clarifying pickup within 24 hours of the start of the tour would be sufficient.
A lack of respect in capital letters. We had met the guide at 9 at our Riad (confirmed by himself). He calls us at 8:55 and tells us to go to a bus station. We tell him that we don't know where he is and that it is difficult for us to understand him. He tells us that the tour is in English and hangs up on us. (According to the tour announcement, it is in Spanish and the driver speaks English, French and Spanish, which is why we booked it.) Minutes later, he canceled our reservation and we were left looking like idiots.
The tour provided everything as advertised. The driver was very nice and personable. If you like Roman history, you will enjoy seeing the ruins at Volubilis. Highly recommend 👌
