Deze tour is een reis door tijd en ruimte, we zullen gebouwen zien van het pre-Spaanse Mexico tot vandaag. We zullen alle beschreven ruimtes betreden met de hulp van een historicus die ons op aangename wijze meer zal vertellen over deze prachtige stad.

We beginnen de tour in de 14e eeuw en bekijken de ruïnes van de grote Tenochtitlan.
We zullen het grootste kerkelijke bouwwerk in Mexico-Stad gaan bekijken om de architectuur en de schade die het in de loop van de tijd heeft geleden te waarderen.

We bezoeken de eerste kerk in Mexico-Stad
We bezoeken een 16e-eeuws paleis, zeer beroemd om zijn Moorse decoratie.
We zullen een van de mooiste gebouwen uit de 20e eeuw zien, we zullen een kijkje nemen in de lobby en iets leren over de geschiedenis ervan.
We zullen de buitenkant van het oude mijnpaleis zien, je leert op deze plek veel geschiedenis.
We bezoeken het Palacio de Correos, het vijfde huis van het postkantoor, een super instagrambare plek.
Onze historicusgids zal ons vertellen over de geschiedenis van dit prachtige paleis, we zullen het van buitenaf bekijken en we zullen een kijkje nemen in de lobby om meer over de geschiedenis ervan te leren.
We lopen een moment door het grootste park in het stadscentrum en leren over geschiedenis en legendes.
We bezoeken de ingang van het museum, waar u de art-deco-architectuur van het gebouw en enkele belangrijke uitingen van de populaire kunst van de stad kunt bewonderen. Op dit punt eindigt de tour als u ervoor kiest om het museum te bezoeken.

Our walking tour of Mexico City’s historic Centro with Joss gave us a wonderful introduction to the cultures that shaped this place through time. Our guide’s background as an historian and her passion for her city brought different eras to life as we visited sites and buildings that represented their time. We received a solid foundation on the history of Mexico City, as well as delightful surprise visits to places like the Grand Hotel with its extraordinaryTiffany glass ceiling. In addition, we were able to customize the tour to include personal priorities like a a visit to Diego Rivera’s stunning mural series inside the Ministry of Education. High value day, and a legacy of extraordinary memories.

Joss was a spectacular guide, she passionately explained every detail of Mexican history and towns. The tour was private and I was able to talk to her and ask her many questions. Joss knows a lot and I recommend her to learn about the anthropology of the native peoples.

This tour is perfect for people interested in the history, culture and traditions of Xochilmilco as well as the present day lifestyle of those who live and work in these canals. Our guide was knowledgeable and very pleasant and she was responsive to our interests for this private tour. If you want something other than what the party boats have to offer, we recommend this tour. Also the lunch was a great experience!
