Deze groepsreis is uitsluitend in het Engels. Onze stadstour stelt de bezoeker in staat het beste van de geschiedenis van Bayeux en Normandië te ontdekken. Bewonder en identificeer de architectonische kenmerken van de middeleeuwse gebouwen en de prachtige kathedraal. Laat je gids je verrassen met verhalen over oude ambachten en oude gebruiken. Leer meer over grote gebeurtenissen en kleine anekdotes gedurende vele eeuwen. Deze tour is perfect als aanvulling op uw bezoek aan de D-Day-stranden, het Tapijt van Bayeux, het Museum voor Kunst en Geschiedenis, het War Memorial Museum en de kathedraal van Bayeux. Wij streven ernaar om u een leuke en informatieve rondleiding te bieden. Onze gidsen zijn vloeiend, deskundig en leuk! Geschikt voor >8 jaar oud. Alle deelnemers moeten een goed niveau van Engels hebben.

In dit steegje stoppen we ook voor het Tapestry Museum, dat nu gesloten is tot oktober 2027, dus we zullen uitleg geven over de vele gebeurtenissen en personages rond de beroemde Slag bij Hastings en de toetreding van Willem de Veroveraar tot de troon van Engeland, geïllustreerd op het beroemde borduurwerk uit de 11e eeuw. We zullen ook praten over het historische belang ervan, de methoden van de fabricage samen met meer feiten en cijfers.

- Houd er rekening mee dat er geen "natuuroproep" -stops zijn tijdens deze 2 uur durende tour, daarom wordt aanbevolen om vooruit te plannen.

This tour showed us parts of Bayeux that we would not have known about otherwise. Christéle answered many of the questions that had arisen without us even needing to ask them. She is passionate about Bayeux, informative and amusing. This is a highly recommended tour. Why did Bayeux survive the was when many other towns were destroyed? The guide arrived promptly at the advertised start time. She was friendly, approachable and spoke excellent English. Throughout the walking tour, she demonstrated a very good knowledge of Bayeux's history, covering the city from Roman times right through to the Second World War. Along the way, she pointed out a number of interesting architectural features of the local buildings and explained their historical uses. The history of Bayeux Cathedral and the Norman period was particularly well covered, providing plenty of context to what we were seeing as we walked around the city. The tour lasted just over two hours and was an enjoyable and informative introduction to the history of Bayeux. I would recommend it to anyone wanting to learn more about the city during their visit.
Christile did a fantastic job in explaining each and every historic building and with the ability to bring the history of each from its history up to today including its place during the Normandy removal of German troops.

Central meeting place was in front of the tourist center in Bayeux. Very easy to find and walking tour began promptly at 9:30 am. The tour lasted two hours. Our guide was Christele Tait. She was well prepared and presented information in a professional manner with a side of humor. Very enjoyable and entertaining tour. Thank you!
