The tour was great. We learned a lot from our trip and the experience was amazing and eye opening. We felt a bit rushed by our tour guide considering the sensitive and extensive nature of the historical content. The trip is slated for 4 1/2 hrs but this truly needs to be adjusted to avoid either party feeling pressured to rush the process.

My family and I had an amazing experience. We visited the most important sites in Hiroshima and Miyajima Island. Saqi (our tour guide) was very polite, professional and kind. Great driver as well. He gave us enough time to rest during the long day trip and also, free time to enjoy every site. I highly recommend this tour. Saqi you’re the best! Okini!!

First, our guide shows late (no biggie) I introduce myself then my family and I climb in the van to start the day-long tour… then he doesn’t even speak to us for like 20 minutes! Finally he breaks the ice by saying it’s going to be a long day if we don’t talk…(I guess this is his idea of an introduction?) but anyway we chat. We find out nothing about Japan or our destination but some things about our guide, Zian, who is a RECKLESS driver (speed, tailgating etc) and doesn’t really want to be in Japan. He was forced to move there and also mentioned he didn’t get adequate sleep the night before (lovely). Fast forward an hour and the conversation lulls and he starts to FALL ASLEEP WHILE DRIVING!!! He jerks the wheel and his head nods. My husband calmly asks if he needs to pull over - (keep in mind my entire family is in this car) Zian says he is okay now, but my husband insists that we pull over for a break. Zian refuses to admit he’s dozing!!! My husband spots an upcoming rest stop and asks him to pull over. This is WHERE OUR FULL DAY TOUR ENDS - after 2 hours of erratic driving. The local Japanese people are wonderful!! We were at a rest stop, near a very small town… in a remote area unserviceable by my taxi app. The clerk at 7-11 calls us a taxi. The taxi driver speaks some English and says the next train station (not the nearest local one) although unmanned would get us to Okayama, which would enable us to transfer to Kyoto (our travel base) or Hiroshima if we decided to continue. They were so helpful!!! Our guide was awful, had zero Japanese spirit and endangered our lives! The private tour was meant to be a treat but easily turned out to be a big lesson for us. We ended up spending hundreds more to continue into Hiroshima on our own (SAFELY on the Shinkansen) The museum is a must see! But NOT with this tour company. I contacted Viator immediately but they refused to refund me, even after learning their driver was completely negligent and we bailed for our own safety!!! STAY FAR AWAY from this tour! Just book the Shinkansen- it’s faster & safer.. plus our guide had NO passion for the Japanese culture. I can’t imagine he would have contributed anything meaningful to our day.

My brother and I had the best time with our guide Hamzah yesterday. We were picked up at 7:30am at our hotel. The van was spacious and comfortable. The seats recline so you can sleep on the way if you want. It’s a 4 hour drive to Hiroshima, and we did stop for a bathroom/snack break 2 hours in. We started the day with an hour of time at the Hiroshima museum (tickets were included). Next we explored the park, Hiroshima Dome and memorial. Hamzah offered to take photos of us along the way. Next we stopped at 7/11 for a quick snack break and we ate in the car during the drive to Miyajima. The ferry tickets to Miyajima were also included. Our guide didn’t go on the ferry with us but it’s so easy to navigate Miyajima. There are friendly deer there that walk right up to you. Miyajima is one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been! We had about 2 hours total there. We left around 4pm and headed back to Osaka. We were back to our hotel around 8:20pm. Hamzah did an incredible job sharing the history of each place and pointing out things along the drive. It’s a long day but plenty of time to sleep in the van along the way. Hamzah always made sure we were well taken care of.

Our driver professional and highlighted key points in Hiroshima. The drive from Osaka was long 3+ hours. And vehicle was comfortable.

Hamzah was a very knowledgeable and accommodating tour guide. His vehicle was clean and comfortable. I highly recommend him. Prepare for a long day but so worth it!

Hamsa was an amazing guide. He was super knowledgeable about the history of Hiroshima and efficiently navigated the very busy sites to allow us to maximize our time there.
