De eerste stop is de indrukwekkende Tule Tree. Deze eeuwenoude ahuehuete-boom valt niet alleen op door zijn monumentale stam, maar ook door de grillige vormen van dieren en mythische figuren die op de schors te zien zijn. Hier dompelt u zich onder in de fascinerende geschiedenis en tradities die deze reus door de eeuwen heen hebben beschermd.
De volgende stop is Teotitlán del Valle, de thuisbasis van de beroemde wollen tapijten. Hier stappen we binnen in een familieatelier waar u ontdekt hoe deze kunstwerken worden gemaakt. U bent getuige van eeuwenoude processen en het gebruik van natuurlijke pigmenten, waardoor ontwerpen tot leven komen die de geschiedenis en tradities van de mensen in elke streng vertellen.
Nu gaan we naar Hierve el Agua, een natuurparadijs dat u de adem zal benemen. Hier blijven we anderhalf uur (1:30 uur) om optimaal van de plek te genieten. U kunt de spectaculaire versteende watervallen bewonderen, die gedurende duizenden jaren zijn ontstaan, en langs de paden de lokale flora en fauna verkennen. U kunt ook een verfrissende duik nemen in de natuurlijke zwembaden en genieten van het unieke landschap.
Schelpenkaarsen in Teotitlán del Valle In Teotitlán del Valle verkennen we ook een van de meest geliefde tradities: het maken van schelpkaarsen. Deze kaarsen worden met de hand gemaakt van zuivere bijenwas en vormen een belangrijk symbool bij verlovingsceremonies, ook wel "contentadas" genoemd, een essentiële ceremoniële en culturele stap vóór een bruiloft.
De archeologische zone van Mitla staat bekend om de unieke bouwstijl van paleizen en tempels, waar de Zapote goden en natuurverschijnselen probeerden uit te beelden door middel van houtsnijwerk in grote altaarstukken. Overall good experience of Oaxaca. Drop off and pick up was not the same as booking stated. I did not like being dropped off somewhere else at 9pm. Some confusion about what was prepaid with booking company and tour guide. I was the only person who booked through Viator (no one else on the tour had these issues).

Great set of activities. Unfortunately however, although booking an english speaking tour we were put in with a Spanish group. Our tour guide tried his best, but it was very unfortunate that most of the activities we were forced to use google translate rather than enjoy the surroundings. This is no reflection on the activities or our guide, just the situation with the operator.
We had a wonderful experience! Jose was not only informative but truly engaging, making the tour both educational and enjoyable. Danny, our driver, did an outstanding job getting us to each stop safely and efficiently. Excellent service from start to finish. We highly recommend this tour!
