Breng een dag door in de Alpen en bezoek het Adelaarsnest, 'The Where Eagle's Dare Castle' van Werfen en bewonder de Golling Waterfalls. Naast het historische Adelaarsnest is de 11e-eeuwse vesting Hohenwerfen, een van de mooiste bergforten in de Alpen, een ander hoogtepunt van deze 8-uur durende privétour vanuit Salzburg.

Kasteel van Werfen is een van de mooiste bergforten in de Alpen en werd ook gebruikt in de film “Where Eagle’s Dare” met Richard Burton en Clint Eastwood. Het was het kasteel van Werfen dat werd gebruikt als Adelaarsnest, niet de oorspronkelijke locatie aan de Beierse Alpen. Bewonder de roofvogelshow van de historische staatsvalkeniers, waar u vooral inheemse roofvogels in vrije vlucht kunt zien!
Aankomst in het charmante Beierse stadje Berchtesgaden, waar u tijd heeft om te ontspannen en te genieten van een traditionele Beierse lunch (op eigen kosten). Wandel door het historische centrum, ontdek lokale winkels of geniet gewoon van de alpine sfeer voordat u uw reis naar de Obersalzberg en het Adelaarsnest vervolgt.
De Obersalzberg is een van de historisch belangrijkste locaties in de Beierse Alpen, ooit diende het als een belangrijk secundair hoofdkwartier van het naziregime. Tijdens uw stop wijst uw Gids u op de voormalige Berghof, Hitlers bergresidentie, en legt u het historische belang van dit gebied binnen zijn alpine setting uit. Vandaag de dag biedt de Obersalzberg een opvallend contrast tussen zijn rustige berglandschap en zijn complexe verleden.
Vanaf de Obersalzberg heeft u toegang tot het Adelaarsnest met speciale bussen en lift. Je hebt 2 uur in het Adelaarsnest. Maak een wandeling naar de zeer nabije top Kehlstein om uit te kijken over de schilderachtige Beierse en Oostenrijkse Alpen. Van 1 november tot ongeveer 10 mei (afhankelijk van de sneeuwcondities van het jaar) is de Eagle's Nest directe toegangsweg als alternatief afgesloten, wij bieden in plaats daarvan een bezoek aan de Rossfeld top. Geniet vanaf dit uitkijkpunt van een panoramisch uitzicht op de prachtige Oostenrijkse en Beierse Alpen en het nabijgelegen Adelaarsnest. Voel je vrij om deze optie ook te kiezen wanneer Eagle's Nest is geopend als u liever een veel minder drukke, meer lokale site dan de Eagle's Nest.
Na acht uur lang het Adelaarsnest en kasteel Hohenwerfen uit de film Where Eagle's Dare te hebben verkend, eindigt uw Privétour als u wordt afgezet bij uw hotel in Salzburg of op een andere locatie in Salzburg.

Patrick made our first full day in Salzburg the BEST. This is who you want introducing you to this spectacular region: a local expert who’s down-to-earth, personable, funny, courteous and so knowledgeable. It was raining, so Patrick gave us some immediate great options — we loved that flexibility and wound up having a fascinating day seeing Salzburg highlights, beautiful German towns, WWII bunkers, the remains of Hitler’s house where so many monstrous acts were devised…. eerie but fascinating. Then to Eagle’s Nest for the can’t-miss trip inside. Patrick navigated the roads AND all our questions with ease. You can tell he loves history which makes this tour so vivid and fascinating. Great person, clear communication, excellent advice both during and after (we’ll try that Kaasknocken you recommended!) — we’ll be telling everyone we meet about Patrick. Five stars. Can we add another? SIX STARS.

100 percent worth having seen once, but also sad, useless, given events....
We had a fantastic day with Gabi as our guide. The timing of everything was perfectly coordinated. The highlight of the day was the falconry show at Werfen castle. Then on to a fabulous lunch at the Eidelweiss hotel in Berchtesgarden. Unfortunately the weather did not cooperate for views at Eagles Nest but we still really enjoyed seeing it, and stopping by the site of Hitlers home.
Fabulous private tour of Werfen Castle and The Eagle’s nest with a great rooftop restaurant stop en route. Our guide Patrick was informative, entertaining, personable and his English was excellent. He also came well equipped with videos and photos to provide context and enhance the experience. Highly recommend this tour.
We did a private tour of the Werfen Castle and Kehlstein( Eagles Nest). Patrick out driver and guide was excellent, knowledgeable and fun. He even pre booked a great lunch place at the Edelweiss Hotel in Berchtesgaden. He also threw in a couple of Sound of Music sites as he knew we were fans and movie fans. I would highly recommend Patrick and MCM for sight seeing trips if you do not want to drive .
What a terrific experience. The locations were as you would expect; surreal & full of thoughtful history. But Manfred, our guide, added a hue we didn't anticipate. As you embark on a tour in an unfamiliar place with an unfamiliar new face, Manfred's demeanor was positively engaging out of the gate. What a treat to experience a tour with a guide so committed to the experience and genuinely engaged as if you were old acquaintances. Really; very nice work. Highly recommended.
