Ontdek Helsinki en Suomenlinna tijdens deze 5 uur durende tour. Bezoek met een professionele gids de beroemdste bezienswaardigheden van Helsinki, waaronder het Sibelius-monument en het Esplanade-park. Neem vervolgens een veerboot naar het eiland Suomenlinna en vervolg je wandeltocht door de Suomenlinna-kerk, Jetty-kazerne en droogdok, enz. Retourtickets voor de veerboot en ophalen vanuit het centrum van Helsinki zijn inbegrepen. Na een lunchpauze gaat u verder met een veerboot van de Grote Markt in Helsinki naar Suomenlinna, die op de werelderfgoedlijst van UNESCO staat. Het is een van 's werelds grootste zeefortuinen dat zich uitstrekt over een reeks van zes kleine eilanden.

We had a great guide, Rachel, who had plenty to tell, and she also was pleased to get questions. The city tour gives a good sense of where you might want to return for a closer look. The Sibelius monument is wonderful, and we had enough time to enjoy it and take some pics. We were able to stroll the market, get some lunch (delicious salmon soup is available), and have a nice scenic ferry ride over to Suomenlinna. There is a lot of walking and hills there, so be aware. The weather changes quickly, so having an umbrella or light rain gear is recommended.
Pickup was easy. Tour guide was knowledgeable. Took an unscheduled stop at the Rock Church to hear a beautiful choir during the summer solstice celebration. Wish we had more time.
Sanna was incredible! She had a deep understanding of the ethnic, economic, political, financial, and cultural histories of the region. She was very concerned about our satisfaction and healthy safety, and even provided ponchosfor people who were not the brief episode of that. This is an amazing tour and I would do it again if I return to Helsinki!

Right from the time I made the booking till the time I finished the trip, there was continous support and someone was always guiding and keeping in touch. This is very important and helpful.
I chose this tour because it included both Helsinki and the Suomenlinna fortress. The fortress was so beautiful and picturesque. It’s just a short 15 min boat ride to get there. It was nice to walk around the fortress and just soak in the exquisite scenery. The city tour was also well done. We saw all the highlights that I wanted to see and our guide, Francisco, did a great job. He was knowledgeable about each site and maneuvered us around the crowded areas well. There was a guy on the tour who had physical pains, and Francisco handled that well. He was able to accommodate the guy when he could, and that was nice to see.
What a wonderful way to experience the history, culture and key sights. Harry and Rachel exuded passion for Finland and the culture. They are excellent guides. We never felt rushed, information was great and the pace and selection of sights perfect. Highly recommend this tour and really hope you get Harry and Rachel as guides. Five star all the way.
We had a fantastic day with Helsinki Tours and their guide Francisco! They picked us up at the hotel right on time after allowing us to join this tour after having to cancel the Tallinn tour due to medical issues. We very much appreciate Ulla’s help and going above & beyond in making this work for us on very short notice!!! Francisco did a great job showing us around the city. The ride-around part was good and we got to see a good bit of the city (Helsinki Library was actually the most interesting to us as it offers so much to the City). The walking portion was even better as Francisco walked with us explaining the city’s history and allowing time for pictures. After a quick lunch in Market Square (salmon soup with fish & chips), we took the quick ferry to Suomenlinna where Francisco walked with us around the island explaining its history along. With that of Finland. So fascinating!! What a great resource this island is; you could spend all day here and there are restaurants & ice cream shops. This tour was well-strucutured and felt like a private tour as Francisco took great care of us.
