We beginnen deze tour met een bezoek aan Ollantaytambo - een van de grootste Inca-locaties in de Heilige Vallei, met Inca-terrassen, een buitenaardse tempel van de zon, een watertempel met ceremoniële fonteinen en nog veel meer. Vanaf hier duurt het ongeveer 1 uur om naar de volgende locatie te gaan.
Begeleid bezoek aan de verbazingwekkende ronde Inca-terrassen van Moray, uniek onder de Inca-locaties in het gebied van de Heilige Vallei, vermoedelijk een uitgebreid landbouwlaboratorium. Vanaf deze site duurt het ongeveer 30 minuten rijden naar de volgende site.
Begeleid bezoek aan de beroemde zoutmijnen van Maras, waar de lokale bevolking sinds pre-Inca-tijden zout heeft verkregen door warm zout water uit een lokale ondergrondse stroom te verdampen.
We hebben wat tijd om een welverdiende lunch te krijgen in een lokaal restaurant in dit gebied (lunch is niet inbegrepen) Daarna duurt het ongeveer 30 minuten om naar de volgende site te gaan.
Bezoek Chinchero, een klein stadje dat beroemd is om zijn spectaculaire uitzicht op de bergen, de traditionele textielweverijcentra en de goed bewaarde Inca-ruïnes. Na een bezoek aan deze site duurt het ongeveer 1 uur om bij uw hotel aan te komen.

Cusco local friend is just the best to book directly with. They respond with email and WhatsApp any questions promptly. We wanted a customized itinerary- they were happy to put it together for us, and adjust timing to make it work for us to get a little later start. Our guide Gerson was amazing. He was knowledgeable, and offered to stay longer or hike higher up if we’d like at every spot. We had all of our bags with us, so the driver stayed with them the whole day to make sure all was safe. I highly recommend booking directly with Cusco Local Friend (not viator or another 3rd party). They really give you the best deal money wise and in customizing your experience.

This was a very well rounded tour of major archaeological sites of the Sacred Valley. We were picked up on time and had an amazing time throughout the day. As a traveler in a new area, it felt very good to have a local guide that was extremely familiar with all the areas. They grew up here and it showed, both in their confident understanding of navigation, as well as their knowledge about when to go where, what routes to take, and how to maximize the time that we're given. If we had planned better, we would have liked to have a second tour of the rest of the valley with them. We're grateful for their time and would highly recommend.
