Dit is de meest complete tour naar de Heilige Vallei, ideaal vóór je bezoek aan Machupicchu, waar je de echte sensatie van het leven in de Peruaanse Andes zult voelen tijdens een boeiende reis door de verborgen pareltjes van de Heilige Vallei. Het begint met een bezoek aan Chinchero, waar u de textielkunst en het proces ervan kunt waarderen, de terrassen van Moray, meer dan 1000 zoutpoelen in Maras, een heerlijk lunchbuffet inbegrepen bij een lokale hacienda. Uiteindelijk komen we aan bij het imposante fort Ollantaytambo. En daar stopt het niet, want we zullen een kleine wandeltocht maken in de bekende "levende stad" Ollantaytambo, waarbij we ons ondergedompeld voelen in de oudheid. We hebben deze unieke route ontworpen om u een perfecte combinatie van het lokale leven, architectuur, geschiedenis en prachtige natuurlijke landschappen te bieden.

We gaan naar de Heilige Vallei van de Inca's om een traditioneel textielcentrum te bezoeken waar we de typische landbouwterrassen kunnen waarderen en we zullen ook een textielinterpretatiecentrum bezoeken waar we het verfproces op basis van natuurlijke pigmenten zullen begrijpen.
We vervolgen onze tour richting Moray, waar we de ronde terrassen zullen waarderen die werden gebruikt als laboratorium voor producten uit de Andes.
Daarna gaan we naar de zoutmijnen van Maras, op deze plek zullen we het natuurlijke proces van zoutwinning observeren dat dateert uit het Inca-tijdperk. Tussen de middag stoppen we bij een lokale haciënda waar u kunt lunchen en genieten van een heerlijk lunchbuffet inbegrepen.
Tenslotte bezoeken we Ollantaytambo, bekend als de levende Inca-stad, met een van de meest representatieve architectonische complexen van het oude Inca-rijk. Om deze fascinerende tour af te ronden, maken we een wandeltocht door de stad, waarbij we de kans krijgen om lokale ambachten te waarderen en te verwerven. We hebben voldoende tijd om elke archeologische vindplaats in je eigen tempo te verkennen, begeleid door de uitleg van een professionele gids.

We spent a wonderful day with Edwin exploring different sites in the sacred valley. We were picked up in a super nice car just in front of our Hotel. We found that we got to spend enough time at esch site and were not beeing rushed. Edwin was also very knowledgeable and happily answered all of our questions. For lunch we stopped at a really nice buffet style restaurant- super yummy (vegetarian options available)! We started our tour at 7am and got dropped off at around 5pm. Just keep in mind that you have to pay for the enterance tickets to the sites and extra 20soles/pp if you want to see the salt pools. We would recommend this tour!
I had the wonderful opportunity to explore the Sacred Valley with private tour guide with Runas Trip Peru. I would absolutely recommend them and plan on working with them again for my next trip to the area. The communication beforehand was excellent. They were able to arrange this tour for us last minute, when we had to rearrange out Machu Picchu visit. I found them to be very forthright and honest with information. The tour guide Jimmy was super knowledgeable, very patient as my group took all of our photos, and made us feel very comfortable while keeping us excited for each stop.
