De oude wijk, die zich in het centrum van de hoofdstad bevindt, herbergt een groot aantal traditionele eetgelegenheden die gerechten serveren die representatief zijn voor Noord-Vietnam. Tijdens de reis worden gasten geleid door deskundige lokale bewoners om obscure plekjes en kronkelende straatjes te verkennen terwijl ze genieten van speciale gerechten zoals eierkoffie, paté-baguettes, pho, bun cha en loempia's. 18.00 uur: De lokale gids haalt je op bij je thuis en begint te voet aan de avondrondleidingen - eet als een local. Afhankelijk van uw locatie kan het begin/einde van de tour verschillen. Je krijgt echter de kans om enkele van de beroemdste gerechten van de Hanoi-bevolking te proeven. Je lokale gids geeft je inzicht in de fijne kneepjes en tradities van de Vietnamese eetcultuur, inclusief details over ingrediënten en historische achtergronden van populaire noordelijke gerechten. Veel heerlijke gerechten wachten op uw proeverij in de oude wijk (u kunt andere gerechten aanvragen die u lekker vindt, de kosten betaalt u zelf)

We had a wonderful food tour covering unique places. The guide, Shizuoka, was extremely kind and chose the places depending upon their preferences (things that we haven’t tasted yet). The customisation ensured that we keep on tasting new and unique things. The trip ended at the Train street which was another unique experience. Highly rated for all first timers in Hanoi!
We went for the food tour with Hann and enjoyed ourselves!! She was very knowledgeable and introduced us to great street food. She also accommodated to a later start time for us, which we were very thankful for. Overall, we are very happy to have met her.

We just finished a wonderful Hanoi old quarter food tour with Hann. She was amazing with our 10 year old son, shared some great stories and put together a perfect menu from the requests we made. Hana was an excellent tour guide! She reached out before hand and asked what our preferences were and provided a personalized food tour consisting of local and authentic dishes. She is also very friendly and kind. Would 100% recommend this food tour!
I had wonderful time with Hana, who is a university student and volunteer on my first day in Hanoi. I was happen to be the only tourist on that Saturday evening. We met in front of my hotel then she guided me to 3 different dinner places as well as local coffee place. I really enjoyed various authentic Vietnamese cuisines and she explained interesting history of Vietnam, Old Quarter of Hanoi and Vietnamese foods. Without her, I couldn't find these local gems. Highly recommend to all the people who visit Hanoi!
We had an enjoyable time with HFWT. We were lucky to get Albert as our guide as she was very knowledgeable and well-spoken. She shared a lot of insight on the Vietnamese culture and history. And was very happy to answer our inquisitive questions. I am quite impressed as this organization is run by young university students. Everything was very professionally organized!

We had a lovely evening with our gorgeus guide Pepper. He took us to three different restaurants to sample different dishes and finished the evening in a very nice rooftop cafe, a hidden gem that we wouldn't have found otherwise. He was easy to talk to and his english was very clear. We really enjoyed this experience and we definitely recommend it to anyone.
