Ervaar topwijnproeverijen op drie van de beste wijndomeinen tijdens deze privérondleiding van een halve dag Winelands van Kaapstad naar Paarl en Stellenbosch met een persoonlijke gids / chauffeur in een privévoertuig. Geniet van een kaas- en wijnproeverij bij Fairview Wine and Cheese Estate, Biltong en wijnproeverij bij Marianne Wine Estate en een wijnproeverij bij Babylonstoren. Sluit de dag af met een drive-by stadsoriëntatietour door Stellenbosch - de op een na oudste stad van Zuid-Afrika en de thuisbasis van meer dan 200 wijndomeinen. Dit is de perfecte tour voor gasten met beperkte tijd of die slechts een paar wijnmakerijen in de Kaapse Wijnlanden willen bezoeken.

Kort nadat we zijn opgehaald bij uw accommodatie in Kaapstad, rijden we langs de nationale weg N1 richting Fairview Wine and Cheese Estate.
Bij onze aankomst op het Fairview Wine and Cheese Estate begeleidt uw gids u naar het wijnproeverijgebied. Terwijl u tussen de 4 wijnproefpods en de heerlijke kaas- en specerijendeli ronddwaalt, krijgt u de gelegenheid om zes van de beste wijnen en kazen te proeven die in deze regio worden geproduceerd. Wijn en kaas zijn allemaal te koop.
We rijden een klein stukje naar Babylonstoren. Babylonstoren ligt tegen de achtergrond van de bergen Simonsberg, Du Toitskloof en Franschhoek en is een van de mooiste wijndomeinen in de Kaapse Wijnlanden. Het landgoed beschikt over een fruit- en moestuin en een van boer tot bord restaurant genaamd Babel (reserveren noodzakelijk). Er zijn nog twee andere eetgelegenheden op het landgoed, Greenhouse en the Bakery. Greenhouse serveert lunches en drankjes in picknickstijl, terwijl de Bakery informele diners serveert. We besteden 1 uur aan een wijnproeverij van 3 of 7 van de beste wijnen die te koop zijn bij Babylonstoren.
Onze laatste wijnlandgoedstop is bij Marianne Wine Estate. Marianne produceert enkele van de beste cultivars van rode wijn in Zuid-Afrika. Hier zullen we genieten van een Biltong- en wijnproeverij. Marianne gelooft dat biltong (gedroogd vlees) de smaken van hun geproduceerde wijn verbetert. Marianne's Floreal-wijn werd met de hand geplukt door chef-kok Gordon Ramsey voor de 90e verjaardag van Nelson Mandela in Buckingham Palace.
We maken een mooie rit door Dorp Street in de stad Stellenbosch, de op een na oudste stad van Zuid-Afrika, tijdens een oriëntatietour langs de stad. Bekijk de historische huizen in Kaap-Nederlandse stijl en de beroemde Universiteit van Stellenbosch.
Van daaruit gaan we terug naar Kaapstad voor aflevering bij uw accommodatie tussen 14:00 en 14:30 uur

Gordon was an amazing tour guide and took us to some of the best wineries in Stellenbosch. We did not feel rushed and we were able to really soak in the experience. I highly recommend this half day tour if you’re looking to get out of the city and see some beautiful landscapes nearby.

We LOVED our tour guide, Ray who was so professional and informative, and the wine venues, themselves, were great. Viator, however, isn’t to be trusted with scheduling. We’ve only used them twice, in two different parts of the world, and they botched our schedules, both times. Go direct with local tour guides and bypass Viator if at all possible.

We had a wonderful day with our private driver- It was a last minute booking and the driver Thomas was so kind and fun! Very knowlegeable about wines and the area. He chose 3 different wineries - each had food (usually to purchase) and a lovely tasting. He would make sure that they would seat us right away by communicating with those in charge. I highly recommend this trip!

We visited 2 estates, Demorgenzen and Marianne. Both were pleasant and picturesque. Reagan was our friendly& well versed guide&driver, he shares some knowledge and history of the estates and we will definitely be back to visit more farms and ask for him by name.

We had the best day visiting Stellenbosch. Reagan was the best guide, with excellent local knowledge and kept us laughing throughout. We went to Demorganzan and marianne winery’s with a lovely stop off in Stellenbosch town in between, visiting the local museum. It was a perfect day out, with the nicest guide we could have asked for. Would highly recommend doing this tour and ask for Reagan!
