Begin je tour van een halve dag vanuit je hotel en ga rechtstreeks naar Killing Filed, waar 20.000 mensen werden meegenomen om daar te doden. Ga dan terug naar het Tuol Sleng Museum waar mensen werden vastgehouden en gemarteld tijdens de Rode Khmer. Geniet ten slotte van uw boodschappen op de lokale markt en zie onderweg het onafhankelijke monument langs de markt. Optie twee - Royal Place, Silver Pagoda, Wat Phnom, National Museum, Independent Monument, Verken Phnom Penh tijdens een tour van een halve dag door de bruisende hoofdstad. Bewonder de statige zuilen van het Koninklijk Paleis dat bekend staat als de bewoner van de Cambodjaanse koning en de zilveren pagode om de prachtige tempels te zien. Daarna gaan we verder naar het Nationaal Museum, dat in 1917 is gebouwd en waar meer dan 5000 kunstgrepen zijn geplaatst. Ga daarna naar Wat Phnom, waar het fundament van Phnom Penh is. Het Onafhankelijkheidsmonument in Phnom Penh, de hoofdstad van Cambodja, werd gebouwd in 1958 om de onafhankelijkheid van Cambodja ten opzichte van Frankrijk in 1953 te herdenken. Het staat op de kruising van Norodom Boulevard en Sihanouk Boulevard in het centrum van de stad.
Het Koninklijk Paleis, in Phnom Penh, Cambodja, is een gebouwencomplex dat dient als de koninklijke residentie van de koning van Cambodja. De volledige naam in de Khmer-taal is Preah Barum Reachea Veang Chaktomuk Serei Mongkol.
Wat Phnom is een boeddhistische tempel in Phnom Penh, Cambodja. Het werd gebouwd in 1372 en staat 27 meter boven de grond. Het is de hoogste religieuze structuur in de stad. De pagode kreeg de naam Wat Preah Chedey Borapaut. Wat Phnom is het centrale punt van Phnom Penh.
De zilveren pagode bevindt zich aan de zuidkant van het Koninklijk Paleis, Phnom Penh. De officiële naam is Wat Ubaosoth Ratanaram, ook bekend als Wat Preah Keo Morakot, die gewoonlijk wordt afgekort tot Wat Preah Keo in Khmer. De vihara herbergt vele nationale schatten, waaronder veel gouden en met juwelen versierde Boeddhabeelden.
De Centrale Markt is een grote markt gebouwd in 1937 in de vorm van een koepel met vier armen die zich uitstrekken in grote gangen met talloze kraampjes met goederen. Oorspronkelijk ontworpen door Jean Desbois. De bouwwerken werden begeleid door de Franse architect Louis Chauchon en het ingenieur Wladimir Kandaouroff.
De Killing Fields zijn een aantal locaties in Cambodja waar gezamenlijk meer dan een miljoen mensen werden vermoord en begraven door het regime van de Rode Khmer tijdens de heerschappij van het land van 1975 tot 1979, onmiddellijk na het einde van de Cambodjaanse burgeroorlog.
Het Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum is een museum in Phnom Penh, de hoofdstad van Cambodja, over de Cambodjaanse genocide. De site is een voormalige middelbare school die werd gebruikt als veiligheidsgevangenis 21 door het regime van de Rode Khmer vanaf de machtsovername in 1975 tot de val in 1979.

I had a great time on the Half-Day Phnom Penh City Tour and would absolutely recommend it. My tour guide, Kakada, was fantastic. His English was excellent, he had a great sense of humor, and he was genuinely friendly and easy to talk to. He made the tour both informative and enjoyable, and did a great job explaining Cambodia’s culture as well as its complicated and emotional history. The driver was also great, and everything ran smoothly from start to finish. The only constructive feedback I’d share is about the tour information itself, and this isn’t a reflection on my guide at all. It wasn’t totally clear in the description that you’re supposed to choose between a cultural-themed tour or a genocide-themed tour, since the itinerary seems to list all sites together but in other places it says you need to choose between the two option. That said, Kakada was very flexible and let me choose a mix of both, and I was able to pick four attractions, which worked out perfectly. There was also a small pickup confusion. The Viator listing said there were only two pickup points, so I took a Grab to one of the hotels, but later found out hotel pickup and drop-off was actually possible. Again, not a big deal, and more of a clarity issue on the tour company’s side than anything else. Overall, this was a really informative and enjoyable tour. Kakada and the driver did an excellent job showing me Phnom Penh, its culture, and its history. Highly recommended!
