Dit is vernoemd naar John Chapman, de piloot van een Engels schip dat in 1607 tot rust kwam in de huidige Houtbaai. De schipper stuurde zijn piloot aan land om proviand te zoeken, en de namen werden geregistreerd als Chapmans Chaunce.
Dit is een van de historische verslagen waarin staat dat Dias het voorgebergte kaap van stormen noemde en vervolgens koning Johannes 2 van Portugal het kaap van goede hoop noemde. {omdat de ontdekking ervan een goed voorteken was dat India vanuit Europa over zee kon worden bereikt} schrijven andere bronnen de huidige naam toe aan dias.

we zullen contact hebben met Afrikaanse pinguïns op Boulders Beach, de pinguïnkolonie nabij de vuurtoren van Cape Point, specifiek op Boulders Beach. het is een populaire plek voor bezoekers om de Afrikaanse pinguïn van dichtbij te zien in hun natuurlijke habitat. de kolonie heeft een promenade waar je de pinguïns kunt observeren zonder ze te storen.
Muizenberg, gelegen aan de valse baaikust van Kaapstad, Zuid-Afrika, heeft een rijke geschiedenis. Oorspronkelijk bewoond door het inheemse Khoisan-volk, werd het later een Nederlandse koloniale buitenpost in de 17e eeuw. In de 19e eeuw veranderde het in een populair, dat bezoekers aantrok met zijn zandstranden en warme water, een kleurrijk huis aan het strand.

The half-day penguins and Cape Point tour was absolutely amazing! Seeing the African penguins up close at Boulders Beach was unforgettable, and the views at Cape Point were breathtaking. Our guide was friendly, knowledgeable, and made the whole experience fun and relaxing. The drive along the coast was stunning with plenty of beautiful photo stops. Everything was well organized and the timing was perfect for a half-day trip. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Cape Town!

We booked this tour for the 8am pick up - at 10.34pm the night before we were advised that this would not go ahead and would we accept the 1pm instead. As it was our last day and we really wanted to do this tour we accepted this with the timeline as described..... had to wait over 35 minutes for a single late arrival which set the whole tour back - she appeared to feel entitled and was late back to every stop off so eventually the last part of the tour was in darkness.... We were so late back that we missed our evening meal booking. The web prices for extras were incorrect so this ended up as a bit of shock for costs on the day - please look at your website and update!! Ended up a very expensive trip considering other companies - would not recommend as a rip off!!!!

We had a great experience with Leon on this tour. He was professional throughout, was passionate about the tour and took care of all the guests. It was a bit rushed as it was half day but accomplished what we wanted to see as we were a little short of time.

Booked weeks ahead. Was at meeting point to be picked up. Contacted tour operator after delay and they tried to postpone then issued a refund. Spent $15 on taxi to meeting point.

I loved this tour. I didn’t know what to expect and was pleasantly surprised. Justin, our tour guide, provided highlights along the drive, didn’t rush us at any of the stops, was polite and a great guide. The stops were all worth stopping at and seeing the penguins up close was really cool.
