Deze tour verbindt je met de cultuur, street art, geschiedenis en smaken van - allemaal in één onvergetelijke dag. We beginnen met een rit door het oude San Juan, de Gids zal iconische bezienswaardigheden zoals El Morro, La Fortaleza en de kleurrijke koloniale architectuur benadrukken. Leer over de rijke geschiedenis, legendes en hoe de oude stad nog steeds bruist van het lokale leven. Verken Santurce, de meest creatieve en cultureel dynamische wijken van San Juan. Wandel langs Calle Cerra, beroemd om zijn kleurrijke muurschilderingen en street art scene. Geniet van een stop bij het lokale café Dosis, bezoek het levendige Plaza del Mercado en rijd door Miramar en Condado terwijl u verhalen hoort over de transformatie en artistieke wedergeboorte van de stad. De laatste stop is Loíza, het hart van de Afro-Puerto Ricaanse cultuur. Ga naar Piñones, een levendige kustgemeenschap die beroemd is om zijn muziek, eten en tradities. Our guide, Frances, did a great job - which is really what a tour is about. Knowledgable and understandable. We enjoyed it.
Laura was very knowledgeable and friendly. It felt more like hanging out with a new friend, who likes showing you around their favorite places. It turned out to be a private tour for my friend and me which was amazing. Would highly recommend.

We were staying in Old San Juan and wanted to see the greater San Juan area and a beach or two. Our tour guide was exceptional, Jon Carlos. Laura the owner of the company was already booked, but I doubt she could have been any better. He is from San Juan, a history teacher, and really knows the area. Also the best places to stop for snacks/coffee/lunch. Delightful time and a good driver. We never could have done it ourselves and it was not a large group. A private tour for just the two of us. Perfection.

We had a wonderful neighborhoods’ tour with our excellent guide JanCarlos! As a history teacher by the week, he was perfect for being very knowledgeable about what we were seeing. He answered our questions with depth & detail. We would highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants a more in depth sense of the San Juan area.

Definitely a memorable experience! I'm an NYC native (boricua by blood) and I appreciated Laura hosting this tour! I learned a lot more to connect with my heritage and show me the real Puerto Rico! I appreciated the Bomba class in Loiza. Places in Santurce, Carolina and Viejo San Juan! Truly worth it!

I typically do a city tour when i visit a place I've never been before, and this tour has been one of my all time favorites. First of all, Laura, our guide is not just a local, she's also an Historian. She was able to give us all the real history and stories about the places we visited. Laura took us to Loiza, an important part of San Juan's history, which is missed by most of the tours. While we were there, we stopped and had lunch at an authentic roadside beach restaurant! The food was delicious and I loved eating with the local residents. We also went to a local indoor market where we got fresh veggies and souvenirs, a coffee shop for a cool drink as we rode around the city, and one of Loiza's beautiful beaches. Laura was very patient as we wanted to stop often for pictures of their BEAUTIFUL country. Oh, and the beautiful (have I mentioned San Juan is beautiful? Lol) historic church. I highly recommend this tour and can't thank Laura enough! I will definitely be back to San Juan and take the tour again. I know there are many more gems she will share with us! #sofritotours

What a great way to see Puerto Rico, especially to parts I’ve never seen. Or guide, Laura was fantastic. She was very knowledgeable with the city’s history and gave us back stories of many places I had seen before but was not awareness of the details. From downtown, to the art district and then Luisa, our trip was so much fun and full of food/drink samples along the way. It was the perfect way to see so much from a cruise port with limited time. HIGHLY RECOMMEND

I truly enjoyed the tour of Old San Juan and Loíza with Sofrito Tours. Laura made the experience feel like my own personal tour. Not only did we visit the mainstays, we also got to sample fruit & foods from islander-known hidden gems. We participated in Bomba class. It was everything I wanted from my first visit to this beautiful island - to be among its people.
