Epische avonturen naar de echte Midden-Aarde en weer terug! Sluit je aan bij onze Lord of the Rings 'Nerds' oftewel gidsen die superieure kennis hebben over alles wat met 'Ringen' te maken heeft. We nemen je mee naar de originele filmlocaties en zetten JOU in de scène terwijl we humoristische en intrigerende verhalen vertellen uit de tijd van filmen. Ga met ons mee op je persoonlijke reis door de echte Midden-Aarde. Onze schilderachtige halve dagtour omvat een bezoek aan Skippers Canyon Lookout (als het weer het toelaat), Arrowtown, The Gibbston Valley en Lake Hayes. Je kunt genieten van Lord Of The Rings-locaties zoals The Ford of Bruinen, The Gladden Fields, The Pillars of the Kings en meer! Deze tour is inclusief ochtend- of middagthee en snacks, foto's met authentieke rekwisieten, aangezien we de grootste selectie authentieke, gelicentieerde replica-rekwisieten hebben! We hebben ook kopieën van de originele scripts en productieoproepbladen, waardoor uw Midden-Aarde-ervaring nog veel meer diepgang krijgt!

We gaan naar de Skippers Canyon Lookout om de "Most Dangerous Road" van Nieuw-Zeeland te bekijken. Niet alleen een spectaculair uitzicht, maar ook een Lord of the Rings-filmlocatie verderop in de Canyon. We stoppen daarna bij het nabijgelegen Coronet Viewpoint om het omliggende uitzicht op het Wakatipu Basin te bewonderen en door ons reisplan te navigeren vanuit vogelperspectief. (Deze stops zijn afhankelijk van het weer)
Bekroond met de prijs 'Mooiste kleine stad' van Nieuw-Zeeland in 2020 en 2023. We leren over de goudkoortsgeschiedenis van dit rustieke maar charmante dorp dat zo uit de 19e eeuw lijkt te stammen. We verkennen 2 filmlocaties van Lord of the Rings op korte loopafstand van de stad, gevolgd door ochtend- of middagthee in dit schilderachtige dorp.
De belangrijkste wijnregio van Central Otago. Hier bezoeken we een epische filmlocatie van Lord of the Rings, waar we verhalen leren over de productie en de geschiedenis van de wijnbouw. Hier zijn we ook getuige van durfduivels die springen van 's werelds eerste commerciële bungeejump vanaf de historische Kawarau-brug.
We gaan naar dit pittoreske, serene meer, met een prachtig uitzicht op de omliggende bergen, rechtstreeks vanuit Middle Earth. We brengen hier wat tijd door, genietend van de rust en spelen met onze authentieke replica-rekwisieten. Verkleed je als je favoriete LOTR-personages en gebruik levensechte zwaarden, dolken, bijlen en helmen uit je favoriete fantasy-trilogie!
We gaan naar de adembenemende Wakatipu Lookout waar we onder de torenhoge Remarkables Mountains nog een laatste blik werpen op dit spectaculaire landschap dat de inspiratie vormde voor de verfilming van de epische Lord of the Rings-trilogie. We wijzen verschillende filmlocaties aan en maken foto's vanaf het best bewaarde geheime uitkijkpunt van de lokale bevolking, hoog boven de badplaats Queenstown.

- Niet aanbevolen voor reizigers die niet meer dan 10 minuten kunnen lopen op oneffen grond. Er is 1 wandeling waarbij mensen die niet kunnen lopen maximaal 20 minuten moeten wachten.

We actually did two tours through these guys. We were so impressed with the first one, that we booked the second half day tour to end our trip on. We were on the fence initially, as we like Lord of the Rings, but aren't really die-hard fans, but thought that the scenery you get to see would make it worth it anyway - and we weren't wrong! Both tours were through amazing New Zealand scenery and we really enjoyed spending 30 minutes in Arrowtown, learning about the gold rush and doing some shopping. However, the Lord of the Rings locations, information, cool facts, and especially using the capes and swords for pictures, just blew us away! These were the highlights of our trip, hands down. Would recommend anyone travelling to NZ, to hook up with this company - you won't be disappointed!

Our guide, Evy, was amazing and explained everything so well. We visited all the possible LOTR filming locations and had a great time. The tour included a lovely hot drink for breakfast in Arrowtown, where we had 25 minutes to explore the charming town and see the Lord of the Rings spots. We also visited Gibbston Valley and a beautiful nearby lake where we got to dress up with movie props and accessories. Highly recommend!

Numerous film locations and photogenic spots. A great way to see Queenstown and surrounding area regardless of your love of LOTR. Photoshoot with the weapons at the end was a highlight. Loved it!

Perfect for Lord of the Rings enthusiasts: half day trip so you can fit in other activities, hitting several locations from the movies, with a guide who knows absolutely everything about the movies and books. Our guide, Benji, was a fount of information and very friendly (and so helpful with taking pictures for solo travellers!).

As an LOTR fan, this tour was such a great experience. Not only were the locations stunning but having an entertaining and knowledgeable guide in Eby elevated the experience. Even my 8 year old who’s not a fan of LOTR thoroughly enjoyed the tour. Especially the part where we all got to take photos and videos in our LOTR costumes with the LOTR props.
