Hakone Oude Tokaido Road Wandeltocht naar Hakone Heiligdom

Beschrijving

I had an amazing time with Ray! If you want to visit Hakone, I highly recommend this tour. I went with my family, and it was amazing! Ray was an amazing guide. He picked us up at our hotel and dropped us back! I liked the tour because we got the chance to hike, went to different villages, went to a tea house, and took the boat. Ray is really nice and friendly.
Ray combines history with an appreciation of the beauty of Hakone. Even during a hot day, we thoroughly enjoyed our time hiking and experiencing the local richness. Ray made the experience meaningful.
This was the best hiking tour we've ever been on! Ray was incredibly kind, knowledgeable, and accommodating. He even picked us up from our hotel, which made the experience stress-free since we were worried about getting lost. Throughout the hike, Ray walked at our pace and shared interesting history about the towns we passed through, how the trail was created, and the people who used it and why, making the experience even more memorable. We also stopped at a charming little marquetry shop, where we got to make our own wooden coaster, a fun and unique experience. The restaurant he recommended after the hike was amazing. The highlight of the tour was getting to chat with Ray about his life journey. He made the entire experience fun, personal, and unforgettable. We highly recommend this tour!
Ray is an excellent guide. We needed to change our experience due to the heavy rains. So he took us to Odawara, and we toured the castle and an ancient tea house. It was a great day! I would highly recommend Ray and his Tour.
If I could give our guide Ray 100 stars I would. He took us all over Odawara and was very knowledgeable about the area. The Tour was wonderful! We had to switch from the old Tokaido trail due to the weather. And I am so glad we were able to be flexible and have a great day. I would highly recommend our tour guide Ray.
Ray was an outstanding guide despite the terrible rainy weather. He first checked the hiking trail himself and wisely prioritized our safety when conditions were not suitable. Instead, he adapted the itinerary perfectly, taking us to Odawara Castle and a beautiful shrine where I collected goshuin. As soon as the weather improved, he brought us back to Hakone Shrine, making sure I didn’t miss this highlight. Ray is knowledgeable, flexible, kind, and truly cares about his guests. He turned a difficult day into a wonderful experience. I highly recommend him!
This was such a unique experience! My guide, Ray was fantastic. He told a good story sharing his in-depth knowledge of the history & culture, catered to my every interest, led me to many fascinating places along the Old Tokaido Road, and was overall a wonderful guide to spend the day with. If you get a chance to meet him, you will have a great time!
We had an unforgettable day with Ray. He was an absolute joy to spend the day with. He was patient and accommodating when I asked about adding some fishing in for my 15yo. He just started curating tours so don't let the lack of reviews concern you. I would recommend him to anyone! I can't say enough and we consider him a friend now. 💚 Also the beauty and history of the area is beyond special.
Ray is an excellent guide. He was so kind and accommodating to our family. He catered the hike to our kids’ abilities, and they loved it. He is so knowledgeable about the history of the area, and we all learned so much. He also arranged a lovely tea house experience and made sure we finished with sufficient time to reach our train. Everyone in the family loved him, and we know you will too.
