We halen uit het centrum van hotels in Baku behalve hotels die zijn gelegen in de oude stad en in de buurt. Dat gasten naar de Double Gates komen - hoofdpoorten van de oude stad (Qosha Qala qapisi)
Het Suikerrietgebergte is een schaliegebergte in de districten Khizi en Siyazan in Azerbeidzjan, onderdeel van de Grote Kaukasus. De 'Candy Cane Mountains' werden oorspronkelijk zo genoemd door reisauteur Mark Elliott in zijn reisgids 'Azerbeidzjan met excursies naar Georgië'. De kleuren van de bergen worden geproduceerd door grondwater dat de oxidatietoestand van de ijzerverbindingen in de aarde verandert.
De berg Besh Barmag (Beşbarmaq Dağı) — een van de meest iconische natuurlijke bezienswaardigheden van Azerbeidzjan — rijst dramatisch op in de buurt van de Kaspische Zee, ongeveer 90 km ten noorden van Bakoe. De unieke vorm betekent “Vijf Vingers” in het Azerbeidzjaans en maakt het een opvallend gezicht langs de snelweg naar Quba. Al eeuwenlang een heilig bedevaartsoord, beklimmen bezoekers de stenen trappen naar het Khitir Baba-heiligdom, binden kleurrijke linten voor geluk en genieten van een panoramisch uitzicht op de zee en steppe. Het is gemakkelijk bereikbaar met de auto en perfect voor een korte schilderachtige stop of een lichte wandeling met spirituele sfeer.
Qechresh is een van de grootste dorpen in de Guba regio. Het gebied is bedekt met bos aan alle kanten. Qechresh is beroemd om zijn natuurlijke bronnen en planten.
Als je verder van het Gechresh bos komt, kom je in de Gudyalchay canyons : steile beklimmingen en afdalingen van de weg gaan door de steile wanden van de kloof. De weg die door twee bergen, steile kliffen en een prachtig bos loopt, maken het uitzicht op dit dorp charmant.

Het bergdorp Khinalig, dat is opgenomen in de lijst van UNESCO historische monumenten van wereldbelang. Met zijn ontoegankelijkheid, unieke taal, unieke architectonische uitstraling en cultuur trekt het dorp toeristen van over de hele wereld. Sinds 2007 is Khinalig uitgeroepen tot etnografisch reservaat. Op weg naar Khinalig zie je vaak adelaars over je heen vliegen, wilde paarden galopperen langs de oevers van steenachtige rivieren en wolken die zo laag neerdalen dat ze soms zelfs aangeraakt kunnen worden. Tijdens de tour geniet je van een volledige traditionele lunch bereid door een lokale familie in het hart van Khinaliq dorp. Dit is geen eenvoudige snack of een basisbord – het is een complete maaltijd met vier verschillende zelfgemaakte gerechten, die de rijke smaken van de authentieke bergkeuken laten zien.

De tour begint om 8.00 uur. We halen op van centraal gelegen hotels in Bakoe exept Hotels die aresituated in de oude stad en in de buurt. Houd er rekening mee dat als uw hotel of accommodatie zich in de oude stad (Icherisheher) of op Nizami Street (Targovaya) bevindt, we u vriendelijk vragen om naar het dichtstbijzijnde aangewezen opstappunt te lopen, aangezien minibussen deze gebieden niet mogen betreden. We sturen je een dag voor de tourdatum de ophaaltijd via WhatsApp of e-mail.

One of the best group tours. Huseyin as a host of this trip was an amazing communicator and knowledgeable to provide us with the history of each place. I faced a problem to navigate my way to the pick up point and he made sure to wait and pick me up from that spot. I highly recommend anyone travelling solo to be part of this journey. The hike up to the khinaliq village for views and the food is definitely worth it all.
Great experience. Leyla, our guide, was very friendly and helpful and explained everything well. We really enjoyed the meal and visiting Khinaliq village. The drive there was beautiful, as well, with amazing waterfalls, and spectacular mountain views.
Ley was a brilliant tour guide, punctual and friendly. We got to see so much, my recommendation is - don’t look at all the photos of where you’re going, so you can expect the unexpected. It’s a tour worth your while.
I had an amazing time on the tour. The day included a number of varied stops with some superb views. The highlight was finishing at Khinalug, where we enjoyed a lovely lunch in a traditional home. Our guide Leyla was knowledgable and enthusiastic and made the day even more special. Would highly recommend this tour - it was the highlight of my time in Azerbaijan and exceeded expectations.
We were asked not to leave a negative review for a partial refund of partial refund as the car broke down and trip details were incorrect. Be careful to check/call and or cancel in time for full refund as pick up location, places visited, timings change dramatically and management team needs improvement. For example, en route, we were told Guba carpet school was closed for renovations whilst a stop at a souvenir shop had locals tell us and the tour guide that it was open until 6pm on the day and was never closed for renovations. One of several sites unseen.
This is a great tour that gives you access to a very remote area. Thanks to Leyla, our guide, for making the day such a positive experience.
For nature beauty lovers, this tour bring you to the most scenic parts of Azerbaijan from the deep forest to high mountain. Bring water and some snacks with you as the trip is long and you jave late lunch in the village up to 2300m high to sea level. Perfect services with super drivers showing you the best view on the rocky mountain.
It was a great trip! Honestly the best sightseeing we did in Aserbaidschan hands down. The views are stunning, the village is super interesting and the food was superb! Also our guide Leyla was the best! She was super knowledgeable and friendly and made this a wonderful experience. Can’t recommend this enough. I didn’t know, this country was so beautiful!
The tour changed scheduling, pick up point and itinerary details with less than 24 hours notice before commencement with the reasons varying so can’t be certain which version is correct when trying to accept the differences and disappointment. Best to call before cancellation deadline for most accurate information. Average because the route through mountains and forests, and Xinaliq, are beautiful locations regardless of tour company and we absolutely recommend visiting the area. (We transited through Guba and guide was apologetic for not seeing the sites there, likely resulting from 45 minute stop on roadside due to our broken down vehicle.) Company offered 20% refund.

She brought so much joy to our journey and even helped us capture those special moments along the way. The views were breathtaking, and the entire journey was both stunning and exciting. One of the highlights was the amazing home-cooked food that was arranged for us — it felt like visiting a living museum! I was fascinated by the old collections that beautifully connected to tribal life and history. It was an unforgettable experience, and I’m so grateful for Leyla’s warmth and effort in making this trip so memorable. Highly recommended!
