De Mekong Delta is een van de meest mysterieuze en fascinerende bestemmingen van Vietnam in het zuidwesten van Vietnam. Verschil van de drukte van de stad, Mekong Delta brengt je een frisse, vredige landelijke sfeer waar Mekong-rivieren, boottochten, tropische fruittuinen, kleine dorpswegen de uitstekende en verbazingwekkende hoogtepunten zijn. Doe met ons mee aan deze tour, we zullen je het meest authentieke lokale leven laten zien waar je je ziel kunt opfrissen en meer energie kunt krijgen.

Nadat je gids je ontmoet in je hotel, ga je naar het zuidwesten van Saigon naar de Mekong Delta, beschouwd als het hart van de hele Mekongdelta-regio. Onderweg stop je bij de Vinh Trang-pagode, een boeddhistische plek met oude bronzen beelden en een koloniale geschiedenis. Pauzeer langs de oevers van de rivier de Tien, de noordelijke slagader van de Mekong-rivier. Maak een boottocht op de Mekong rivier naar een werkplaats waar handgemaakte ambachten en snoep worden gemaakt van kokosnoten. Een korte rit met een paardenkoets brengt je naar een van de vele nabijgelegen boomgaarden, waar je zelfgemaakte honingthee kunt proeven, vers seizoensfruit kunt proeven en kunt genieten van "Don Ca Tai Tu" - traditionele livemuziek van de Mekong-bevolking. Na de lunch stap je op een elektrische auto voor een ontspannen rit door het platteland, terwijl je de landelijke sfeer opsnuift terwijl je kleine dorpjes en boerderijen passeert. Halverwege de middag stap je terug in de boot en vaar je langs de grachten totdat je de plek bereikt waar je terugkeert naar je tourvoertuig. Bereik Saigon om ongeveer 17.00 uur. Rondleiding eindigt.

This was a great day out with lots of experiences and activities. A beautiful lunch of fish spring rolls, prawns, soup, greens and rice. Boat rides aplenty and the best guide in Hai whose English is very good, friendly and a few jokes shown in for fun

The tour was lots of fun! We stopped at the temple and then on to the Mekong delta. The food was delicious, even though I was nervous and a picky eater. The coconut candy was great and we especially liked the pandan leaf flavour. Just remember to bring cash to purchase drinks along the way and to top the service people.

Great day trip from Saigon. Lots of different activities and visits included. Leo is an excellent guide and has much knowledge about the local area, traditions, culinary delights as well as Vietnamese history and culture. Truly a worthwhile day trip recommended for anyone keen to explore a part of the Mekong Delta
