Groene tour is ook bekend als South Cappadocia tour vanwege zijn route over alle belangrijke bezienswaardigheden van de Zuid-Cappadocië. Je bezoekt de grootste opgegraven ondergrondse stad in Turkije, wandelt in de Ihlara-vallei, bezoekt een van de grootste rotsachtige kloosters en geniet van een prachtig uitzicht over de Cappadocische valleien.

Göreme Panorama ligt precies 2 km van het centrum van Göreme. Op een bankje of een stoel kunt u genieten van het unieke uitzicht. Het uitzicht op de Göreme Uçhisar-weg is op het eindpunt van de Güvercinlik-vallei. De berg Erciyes, de mooiste berg van de regio met een hoogte van 3917 meter, is vanaf hier te zien. Het is een van de mooiste fotoplekken van Cappadocië en onthult het panorama van Erciyes en de magnifieke Duivenvallei.
De zwarte onyx is kenmerkend voor de regio Cappadocië. De hardheid bepaalt de meest gewaardeerde variëteit voor sieraden en handwerk.
Derinkuyu Underground City is een oude multi-level stad gelegen in Derinkuyu, in de regio Cappadocië van Turkije. Het is diep uitgehouwen in vulkanisch gesteente en strekt zich ongeveer 60 meter onder de grond uit. Ooit kon het tot 20.000 mensen onderdak bieden, inclusief hun vee en voorraden. Aangenomen wordt dat de stad al in de 8e eeuw v.Chr. is gebouwd en in de loop der eeuwen is uitgebreid, met ventilatieschachten, keukens, kerken, opslagruimtes en zelfs een school. Het werd voornamelijk gebruikt als toevluchtsoord in tijden van oorlog of invasie.
Ihlara Valley is een fantastische kloof met een diepte van ongeveer 100 meter en ongeveer 10 km. lengte die werd gevormd door de vulkanische activiteit van Mount Hasan en erosie door de Melendiz-rivier honderdduizenden jaren geleden. Een van de beste uitstapjes vanuit Cappadocië.

Selime Monastery, één van Cappadocië’s meest indrukwekkende religieuze rotscomplexen. Dit oude klooster, uitgehouwen in een dramatische klif, diende ooit als een belangrijk spiritueel en defensief centrum, en biedt inzicht in het vroegchristelijke leven met zijn kerken, woonvertrekken en een prachtig uitzicht over de omliggende vallei.
Pigeon Valley ligt in het hart van Cappadocië, een regio die bekend staat om zijn unieke landschappen, rotsformaties en ondergrondse steden.

The Green Tour with our guide, Jacob, was absolutely incredible. The route was exceptionally well designed, and Jacob thoughtfully planned each stop to help us avoid the crowds as much as possible. His storytelling is very engaging—he is clearly knowledgeable, passionate about what he does, and did a fantastic job of sharing the history of Cappadocia with us. Before this trip, I thought I would only visit Cappadocia once. Now, I’m already planning to come back with friends and family—and hopefully, I’ll be lucky enough to join another tour with Jacob!
