Bezoek een van de wereldwonderen, de Grand Canyon, en ervaar de Red Rocks van Sedona tijdens een dagtocht. Geniet van onvergetelijke uitzichten op klassieke zuidwestelijke landschappen met uw deskundige Gids. Na het verlaten van het Phoenix metro gebied, reist onze tour door de uitgestrekte Sonoran woestijn gevuld met de inheemse saguaro cactus. Het landschap begint te veranderen als we toenemen in hoogte en uitzicht op de cactus vervagen in pijnbomen. Als we verder rijden naar Noord Arizona, zullen we de rand van de Route 66 stad Flagstaff afleggen en vanaf de snelweg de San Francisco Peaks zien tussen het schijnbaar eindeloze Ponderosa Pine Forest, het grootste aaneengesloten bos van ponderosa dennen in de wereld.
Geniet van een kort bezoek aan de prachtige rode rotsen van Sedona! Na een fotostop bij Bell Rock heeft u ongeveer 30 minuten in Uptown om te genieten van de winkels en galeries terwijl u wordt omringd door het prachtige uitzicht. U zult ook de schilderachtige rit door Oak Creek Canyon ervaren!
Je zult ongeveer 2,5 uur in het Nationaal Park doorbrengen en je verbazen over de schoonheid die de Grand Canyon is. Je wordt naar uitzichtpunten gereden en hebt vrije tijd om naar verschillende uitzichtpunten en bezienswaardigheden te lopen. Bezoek de historische El Tovar Lodge, Hopi House, Mather Point of Yavapai Point (deze uitzichtpunten zijn onderhevig aan verandering), het Geologie Museum en nog veel meer ongelooflijke uitzichtpunten! Terwijl u aan de zuidrand van het Grand Canyon National Park bent, heeft u de mogelijkheid om over de rand te lopen, te winkelen, een onbeperkt aantal foto's te maken of te genieten van de lunch (op eigen kosten) en te ontspannen met de beste stoel in het huis.
Ervaar een prachtig uitzicht op de Grand Canyon en rustige rust terwijl u de Colorado River door de ruige rode rotswanden beneden ziet kronkelen.

Ophaallocaties en -tijden
Pick-up wordt aangeboden van geselecteerde hotels in Phoenix, Scottsdale en Tempe. Voor kleine groepsreizen halen we niet op bij privéwoningen en is ophalen niet gegarandeerd bij alle hotels, zelfs niet als uw hotel op de lijst staat. Als u een hotel als vergaderlocatie kiest, houdt u er dan rekening mee dat gratis parkeren niet gegarandeerd is. Om de beschikbaarheid van de parkeerplaats te bevestigen, neemt u rechtstreeks contact op met de tourleverancier. Hun contactgegevens vindt u op uw prepaidvoucher. De ophaaltijd is tussen 06:00 en 07:00 uur. De leverancier neemt de middag voor uw tour contact op met uw exacte ophaaltijd. De terugkeertijd zal naar verwachting tussen 19.00 en 20.00 uur liggen. Voor privétours halen we op bij de meeste hotels en privéwoningen in Phoenix, Scottsdale en Tempe. Houd er rekening mee dat DETOURS niet verantwoordelijk is voor late retouren als gevolg van verkeer of andere onverwachte vertragingen. Als u belangrijke e-mails van de leverancier niet ziet, controleer dan uw spam- of junkmap. Voor last-minute boekingen gemaakt na 19:00 uur (Arizona tijd) de avond voor uw tour, bevestiging is niet gegarandeerd. Het kan zijn dat u in plaats daarvan in een aangewezen hotel moet afspreken. - Vanaf 1 januari 2026 is de tourleverancier wettelijk verplicht om het Amerikaanse of niet-Amerikaanse staatsburgerschap te bevestigen, wat zal bepalen of een extra toegangsprijs vereist is. Voor niet-Amerikaanse burgers moet de tourleverancier een extra $ 100 per persoon (leeftijd 16 jaar of ouder) innen, die vooraf aan de tourleverancier moet worden betaald.
- De wet van Arizona vereist dat kinderen jonger dan 8 jaar een kinderzitje of stoelverhoger hebben. Kinderzitjes zijn niet voorzien, gelieve zelf mee te brengen en leverancier te verwittigen
- Minimumleeftijd is 3 jaar en gasten moeten de leverancier informeren dat ze autostoeltjes of boosters zullen verstrekken.
- Rolstoelen en rollators zijn toegestaan zolang ze opgevouwen en in het voertuig geschoven kunnen worden. U moet de leverancier laten weten of u een van beide meebrengt.
- Wij garanderen geen pick-up voor alle hotels. Zelfs als uw hotel op de lijst staat, kan het zijn dat u op een andere locatie moet afspreken. Elke gast die buiten Phoenix, Scottsdale of Tempe verblijft, moet op een door de leverancier te bepalen alternatieve locatie bijeenkomen. De contactgegevens van de tourleverancier vindt u op uw vooraf betaalde voucher.
- De Grand Canyon South Rim is een 7.000 voet hoogte, let op dit als u zich zorgen maakt over de hoogte.
- Er is GEEN toilet op het busje. Comfort stops worden de hele dag door gemaakt.
- U moet de leverancier op de hoogte stellen als er mobiliteitsproblemen zijn waarvan hij zich bewust moet zijn.
- Minimumaantallen zijn van toepassing. Er is een mogelijkheid tot annulering na bevestiging als er niet genoeg passagiers zijn om aan de eisen te voldoen. In het geval dat dit gebeurt, wordt u een alternatieve of volledige terugbetaling aangeboden

Flight delay Monday night due to sand storm in Phoenix. Airport closed so flight delayed 5 hours. Instead of getting in late Monday we get in Tuesday overnight and miss our 6am pickup. Notified them via the app about flight issue and no response. Got the call stating they were waiting for us for pickup. Explained we handed got there yet to airport closure night before. Of course No refund or exchange but they call twice to try and rebook. Got giving you another $700 bucks we already paid and missed the first trip.
Hello, I spoke with you and explained that no refunds/credits are available due to our cancellation policy. It is unfortunate you chose to leave a 5 star review because we were simply honoring our cancellation policy. You emailed us at 9pm the night before, after our office closed. You told us your flight was delayed but did NOT say you wouldn't be doing the tour. Maybe you should consider travel insurance in the future. Best, Rachel
Our guide Mark was terrific, sharing lots of info about the environment, history and beautiful areas to see, take pictures of, and just enjoy.
The booking process was fast and easy, and the representative provided all the information I needed for the trip. I also appreciated that the company was able to pick me up at the Sheraton Hotel in downtown Phoenix, and they arrived right on time. There were eight people on the tour, and our guide, I believe his name was Elmar, did a good job. He was knowledgeable, friendly, and shared interesting information about the areas we traveled through. During the drive, we stopped every hour for a few minutes to stretch or use the bathroom facilities. This made it very manageable. My main concern was that the tour felt rushed. The advertised schedule was from 6:30 a.m. to 8:00 or 8:30 p.m., but we were back at the hotel by 6:11 p.m. I feel that the nearly two hours saved could have been better spent allowing us to enjoy the destinations. At the Grand Canyon, our group stopped at one viewpoint for about 15 minutes before being dropped off near the restaurant around noon. We were told to meet back at the parking lot at 1:30 p.m. Our guide wisely suggested eating first because the restaurant gets very busy. I’m glad he did, because within 5–10 minutes of our arrival, it was packed. Even though I only ordered a salad, it took about an hour and 10 minutes from ordering to receiving our food and paying the bill. That left only about 20 minutes to explore the Grand Canyon on our own, which simply wasn’t enough time to experience such an incredible place. We then headed to Sedona. Because of an active wildfire, we couldn’t take the usual route, which I completely understand. However, we only made one stop in Sedona for about 15 minutes. I wish the tour could have included at least one additional stop in another accessible area so we could have enjoyed more of Sedona’s beauty despite the route changes. This is a good trip for adults and children. There is not a lot of walking — there is no hiking. You walk at your own pace. There are stores and bathrooms at Grand Canyon. My recommendation is that, since most of the day is spent traveling, the company should ensure that guests have adequate time at each destination. If lunch typically takes about an hour, then more than 1½ hours should be allotted for the Grand Canyon stop so visitors have enough time to sightsee. Likewise, adding more stops in Sedona whenever conditions allow would greatly improve the overall experience. Which could have been the case for this tour. Overall, I truly enjoyed seeing the breathtaking scenery of both the Grand Canyon and Sedona, and I appreciated the guide and the convenient hotel pickup. However, I left feeling that I didn’t receive the full value of the tour because it ended about 1 hour and 45 minutes earlier than scheduled. That time could have been spent exploring these amazing destinations rather than returning early. With a few adjustments to the itinerary, this could be an outstanding tour.

Tour was great but our guide Jordan was the main reason for that. He had some much knowledge of the grand canyon, Arizona, Sedona and indigenous tribes. Our entire group left with an amazing experience, of the most amazing place due to our amazing guide. Thanks Jordan! We will never forget it!
It was a long day from 6 am-8.30 pm but worth the effort. Our guide Jordan (hope I spelled his name correctly) was a great guide. Enjoyed the trip with him.
Mark was funny and personable and very sweet and knowledgeable. The views were breathtaking and the band was comfortable.
