Vaar onder de Golden Gate Bridge door voor een adembenemend panoramisch uitzicht. Voel het ontzag als de iconische rode torens volledig in beeld komen. Afhankelijk van de getijden en het weer kan uw boot onder water varen of in de buurt drijven voor perfecte fotomomenten.
Pier 39 barst als een kermis aan zee in het zicht, kleurrijke vlaggen knappen in de wind en de zeeleeuwen spreidden zich uit op de zonovergoten (ahem, ik bedoel mistovergoten) dokken. Weg van de drukte, maar nog steeds dezelfde geweldige uitzichten!
Als de tijd en het weer het toelaten varen we in de buurt van de vaak onderschatte Bay Bridge. Vanaf het water strekt de Bay Bridge zich uit over de horizon als een stalen lint in de lucht gestikt.
Krijg een uniek 360-uitzicht op Alcatraz Island en zijn rotsachtige kliffen en verweerde gebouwen. De voormalige gevangenis doemt op als een spookachtige wachter, die lange schaduwen werpt die verwijzen naar zijn legendarische verleden.

We loved our boat ride with Captain Sal! It was just our family of three along with the captain and we enjoyed hearing about the history of the boat and Sal’s family. A great slice of San Francisco history! We had gorgeous weather and saw sea lions and dolphins and of course epic views of the bridge and the bay. Just a head’s up that It is a small historic boat and it requires coming down a ladder to board which could be challenging for someone with mobility issues.
Wonderful experience!! Great history, conversation, views, and an incredible captain. I just recommended this experience to someone visiting SFO next month.
I recently had the pleasure of my first Ignitours on the 1920's fishing vessel 'The Golden Gate'. My family & I were warmly greeted by Captain Sal Alioto & Guide Dara, immediately feeling welcomed aboard! Sal shared the history of this remarkable boat & the legacy of his Grandfather, the original owner & fisherman. It was so interesting & connected us even closer to this beautiful vessel. The tour was perfect with views that stunned & excited us, both Dara & Sal are a wealth of SF knowledge & fun. One of my favorite views was from directly underneath the Golden Gate Bridge, a rare sight for most people. I can be sensitive to motion sickness but I had no problem at all. I did take a Dramamine prior to the cruise, for those who might, themselves be concerned. This tour & the folks who present it are delightful! I absolutely recommend it to those who are visiting San Francisco & to the locals as well!
This was one of the most unique tours I’ve ever been on, and the small size of the group made it feel extra special. Dara was so helpful and communicative about where to meet and what to expect, and a huge highlight of the experience was hearing about Sal’s family history with the boat. We had a gorgeous view of the bridge on a beautiful day, & I learned tons of fun facts about San Francisco, the bay, and the Golden Gate Bridge. Really incredible value for a sweet & memorable experience!
Such a unique and special boat tour. We got to explore the boat, learn about the Alioto family’s deep roots in San Francisco’s fishing history, and even cruise right under the Golden Gate Bridge. Captain Sal was so sweet and made the whole experience fun and personal. definitely a highlight for any SF trip

We learned a ton of interesting history about San Francisco and the bay, and even got to go up close to Alcatraz, which was incredible. Highly recommend this tour — great views, great crew, and an all-around unforgettable experience! Affordable and fun!

The boarding of the boat involves a ladder which might not suit everyone. There could have been more info on San Francisco but otherwise Sal was great.
Our boat tour was terrific. We had high expectations and, thanks to Sal, our tour operator, our expectations were exceeded. Our tour was supposed to last one hour. It actually lasted an hour and a half. Departing from the Fisherman’s Wharf area, we passed in front of Alcatraz Island, then headed to the Golden Gate Bridge, passing under it before returning into the bay. On the way back we passed around the north side of Alcatraz Island. Sal was very informative and engaging. The tour is private. There were only three of us plus Sal. Sal encouraged both of my kids to pilot the boat for a while. We saw plenty of sea lions in the bay and one gray whale near the Golden Gate Bridge.
While on a Girls trip in San Francisco to celebrate a friend’s birthday, we had only a few days to see as much of the city as we could and while booking a tour isn’t usually my thing, I must say I am so glad I did because this tour didn’t disappoint. The history behind the boat, its captain and the story’s he shared were great, he took us around the bay along all the piers, up past the Bay Bridge all the way to Oracle Park where we took a little pause and chatted more about the city’s history and baseball. On our way back we went around Alcatraz Island where our guide gave a brief history of the island and its origins. For me the coolest thing was the views of the city skyline, being so close and yet far enough away to take it all in from the boat’s vantage point was perfect. I was a little sad we weren’t able to tour out to the Golden Gate Bridge due to a strong wind and choppy waters in that area, I was glad our captain had safety in mind plus with the extra time around the bay we got to view some dolphins and seals. Our group was 6 people and for that made the tour that much better, I would absolutely recommend this tour, it’s worth your time and $$ for sure.
