Tijdens deze tour zullen we het prachtige landschap bewonderen en door de rustige straten en kerken van Savoca en Forza d'Agrò lopen, beide gebruikt in de opnames van de film THE GODFATHER. Je zult de sfeer van deze fascinerende en ontroerende film echt voelen. Om u het meeste uit de sfeer van de film te laten halen, zullen we u de belangrijkste scènes laten zien die in elke plaats zijn opgenomen met behulp van audiovisuele middelen.

In Savoca zullen we de plaatsen bezoeken waar enkele scènes van de film THE GODFARTHER zijn opgenomen. Allereerst de Bar Vitelli, waar Michael Corleone (Al Pacino) spreekt met de vader van Apollonia om haar hand te vragen. Toen de kerk van San Nicolò waar de twee trouwen. Er is ook de mogelijkheid om de fascinerende catacomben van het Cappuccini-klooster en de kerk Santa Maria degli Angeli te bezoeken.
Bezoek aan Forza D'Agrò, een charmant medivalend dorp met uitzicht op de kustlijn richting Messina. vele scènes van de film zijn opgenomen in dit dorp, bijvoorbeeld, dit is de plek waar Michael Corleone (Al Pacino) en zijn handlangers door de straten van Corleone lopen. hier werden de scènes geschoten waarin Don Vito Corleone (Marlon Brando), nog steeds een kind, uit Sicilië ontsnapt met de hulp van een familie vriend nadat zijn ouders werden gedood door de lokale baas. Hij gaat door het dorp verborgen in een grote mand gehaakt aan de zijkant van een ezel.
Het is mogelijk om een bezoek te brengen aan "Castello degli Scgiavi" (het kasteel van de slaven), gelegen in Fiumefreddo di Sicilia, waar verschillende scènes van de film zijn opgenomen, vooral degene waarin de jonge Apollonia, de vrouw van Michael Corleone, is gedood door een bom in de auto. We had a fantastic Godfather tour with Giuseppe. He was very knowledgeable and friendly. He showed us all the important sights. His English was excellent as well. We highly recommend him!
Our tour guide was Marcelo, he made a tour and experience. He not only gave fun facts but the passion and knowledge on everything about the Godfather movies and the area was very impressive. If you go to Sicily and are a intrigued about the La Costra Nostra, this is your tour and Marcelo is your guide! Your friends Francesco and Giovani!
Charming hill towns with lots of steep walking but beautiful so very worth the effort. We saw many places where the Godfather was filmed - sadly missed the villa but saw all the rest. Watch the first Godfather before taking the tour. Great little restaurant for pizza and wine too.

The godfather movie tour provider is very irresponsible. Our private tour was reserved 2 days earlier, but on the day nobody showed up at 8:30 am to pickup us from the hotel as arranged. No response to our messages. After help from our hotel desk, it turned out the provider was running out of guides or cars, but didn’t bother to let us know. After protests, they finally booked us in the late afternoon (3:30 pm) for this “5 to 7 hours tour”. We had other pre arranged tours for next few days so have to accept this unwelcome change. Very disappointed, please DONT USE THIS TOUR. Our guide is very good though, friendly and knowledgeable, very helpful.
We apologize again for the inconvenience! I understand your disappointment, but we didn't receive the booking notification email from Viator; in fact, we did, but it ended up in our spam folder. I don't know how this happened; it's the first time it happens. For this reason, we weren't scheduled for your excursion. Despite this, we did everything we could to accommodate your request and managed to find a solution, and you had a wonderful experience, as you yourself admitted. We always respond to booking notification emails within 24 hours of receipt.
Wonderful driver Martino and company went out of their way to make our trip work on short notice with just areas we wanted to see.
I highly recommend this tour for both Godfather film fans, and visitors who want to get away from the city and see the beautiful Sicilian countryside. Our guide, Ricardo, was outstanding and shared his vast knowledge of the film locations. It was awesome to be able to see inside some of the sites - much more than what is seen in the films. We did go to the Castle of the Slaves, based on Ricardo’s recommendation, and it was a highlight of the tour. So glad we did this tour. It was a perfect day in gorgeous Sicily!
We were very excited to do The Godfather Tour. And it exceeded our expectations. The island of Sicily is so beautiful. It is one of my favorite places that I have ever been. The village of Savoca was amazing with incredible views, and delicious food and drinks at Bar Vitelli. We also enjoyed the Village of Forza d'Agrò. We were going to skip the third stop at Castello degli Schiavi. Our tour guide Riccardo highly recommend adding it so we did. What a treat! The gentleman who lives there gave us a tour of the beautiful property that has been in his family since 1630s. WE LOVED THIS TOUR!!!
Giuseppe was fantastic. Definitely do the add on to the home where Michael Corleone’ s family home, Costello Degli Shiavi. That was the highlight of the tour. The Barone as your guide was absolutely a gem. We loved every minute of the tour. Such fun and totally interesting. Highly recommend!
Ricardo was so knowledgeable. He went above and beyond to show us as much as possible. He made sure we were happy and comfortable at all times. It was a beautiful day and a beautiful place and I only wish we had more time to experience more of it!
