Deze 9 uur durende tour naar Gobustan is speciaal ontworpen voor gasten die geïnteresseerd zijn in de steentijd van de mensheid, UNESCO's werelderfgoed en geschiedenis, ook bezoekers krijgen de kans om een groep moddervulkanen te zien en getuige te zijn van uitbarstingen van moddervulkanen. Tour gaat verder naar Absheron Peninsula inclusief Burning Mountain, Fire Temple State historische en culturele natuurlijke reservering om het symbool van Azerbeidzjan (land van vuur) te zien. En onderweg zie je een van de oudste moskeeën van Bakoe – Bibi Heybet Moskee.

De tour begint 's ochtends rond 08:30 uur. De exacte starttijd wordt een dag voor de tour door onze Gids doorgegeven. We zien je bij het ontmoetingspunt.
Bibi - Heybat-moskee. De moskee werd gebouwd in 1267-1300. Het was een zeldzame constructie, zowel met zijn schoonheid als met zijn scheppingsgeschiedenis. De Bibi-Heybat-moskee omvat het graf van Ukeyma Khanum (een afstammeling van Mohammed), en is tegenwoordig het spirituele centrum voor de moslims van de regio en een van de belangrijkste monumenten van islamitische architectuur in Azerbeidzjan. Het is plaatselijk bekend als "de moskee van Fatima". De huidige structuur van de moskee werd gebouwd in 1990 en is een replica van de moskee met dezelfde naam.
Hangt van het weer af. Azerbeidzjan staat in de eerste plaats bekend om moddervulkanen in de wereld. Deze vulkanen verspreiden zich door Azerbeidzjan en de lokale bevolking noemt ze “Yanardagh” (brandende berg), “gaynacha” (kokend water) en “bozdag” (grijze berg) naast de geografische naam - moddervulkanen 350 van de 800 moddervulkanen die in de wereld bekend zijn, bevinden zich in Azerbeidzjan. De meeste liggen in de regio Gobustan. Sommige van de vulkanen worden beschouwd als natuurlijke monumenten en natuurlijke nationale hulpbronnen van Azerbeidzjan. We gaan er met een speciale taxi heen vanwege de wegomstandigheden. Tijdens deze reis krijg je een grote kans om deze geweldige actieve vulkanen van zeer dichtbij te zien. We zullen zorgen voor de extra een andere auto naar Sovjet SUV Lada om vulkanen te gaan.
Tijdens de tour heeft u de kans om het Gobustan lokale binnen- en openluchtmuseum te bezoeken en de unieke tentoonstellingen te zien die ons door het millennium van geschiedenis hebben bereikt. Gobustan Rock Art Cultural Landscape omvat een uitstekende collectie van meer dan 6.000 rotsgravures die getuigen van 40.000 jaar rotskunst. De site bevat ook de overblijfselen van bewoonde grotten, nederzettingen en begravingen, allemaal een weerspiegeling van een intensief menselijk gebruik door de inwoners van het gebied tijdens de natte periode die volgde op de laatste ijstijd, van het Boven-Paleolithicum tot de middeleeuwen. Gobustan heeft een uitstekende universele waarde voor de kwaliteit en dichtheid van zijn rotskunstgravures, voor het substantiële bewijs dat de collectie rotskunstafbeeldingen biedt voor de jacht, fauna, flora en levensstijl in prehistorische tijden en voor de culturele continuïteit tussen prehistorische en middeleeuwse tijden die de site weerspiegelt.

Azerbeidzjan’s iconische “Brandende berg” - Yanardag ligt ten noorden van Bakoe stad, op ongeveer 23 km van de oude binnenstad. De belangrijkste attractie van Yanardag is een spectaculaire heuvel met een voortdurend brandende muur van vlammen. Dankzij tektonische verschuivingen en vulkanisch materiaal onder het aardoppervlak lekt aardgas uit de rotsen. De Italiaanse handelaar en reiziger Marco Polo noemde de vlammen zelfs tijdens zijn reizen naar Bakoe en omgeving, maar hoogstwaarschijnlijk brandt het vuur al meer dan jaren op Yanardag. De vuurlijn rond de voet van de top geeft u een impressie van het Land van Licht en laat een onvergetelijke herinnering aan de tour achter. Om Yanardagh te beschermen en toeristen naar hier te trekken, werd dit gebied in 2007 uitgeroepen tot historisch, cultureel en natuurreservaat.
Het volgende hoofdstuk van je reis brengt je naar de Ateshgah Vuurtempel. Ooit een heilige plaats voor zoroastrianen en vuuraanbidders, gloeit deze tempel met verhalen van pelgrims en kooplieden die hier eeuwen geleden kwamen, aangetrokken door de eeuwige vlammen en mystieke energie.

If I could give this a more precise rating it would have been about 4.6. The flaws were not at all major, just worth considering. Pro - Well-organized. The trip was laid out intelligently and it was very complete of what you could see in the environs of Baku. Said, our guide, was patient and well-informed. Especially for some of the later things (including the Zoroastrian temple) he really knew the subject. The Petroglyphs are the highlight of the tour. Cons - minimal. Said's accent was sometimes a little hard to understand. It was easier for me as a native English speaker. Also, it's a relatively long day with a lot of ground to cover, so be well-rested before you begin.
With Sayed's guide, we visited mud volcanoes, Gobustan rock art, Bibiheibat mosque, monuments of oilfield mining, Yanartag and fire temples. I enjoyed the wild driving of my 4WD until I went to the mud volcano (be careful, the driver is a different person from the guide, who keeps it a secret and asks for tips. The guide told me beforehand that I didn't need a tip, so I was able to slip through and escape to the bus.) The most impressive thing about this trip was the rock art. I was able to see quite a few pictures. Without a guide, I think it's hard to find where it is. Where the rock art is located is on a hill of mountains, so you can see the plain and the Caspian Sea. It is the best view. After listening to the explanations, I was able to learn more about rock art in the exhibition hall, which further deepened my understanding. Lunch is a buffet restaurant in Baku. You can rest assured that the guide doesn't seem to have a bag in it:) For me, it was 20 manats, which I think is cheaper than the shops in Baku Old City. The mosque also allows you to photograph the interior, so that you can get up close and personal with devotees praying. Yanaltag didn't expect that much, but it was surprisingly powerful and I enjoyed it because he taught me how to shoot well. The fire temple was also easy to understand as it went around explaining the necessary parts. The last photo taken by our guide was the best (all the tour participants are shown, so we don't include it) We recommend this tour and guide in the following ways: ・I can speak both English and Russian. It was easy for me to hear even if I was not a good English speaker in a non-English speaking country. (I just didn't have enough English to understand my friends from the same country.) ・The guide is very kind throughout, caringly calling out to me, re-explaining me, and teaching me how to take pictures. · It is probably difficult for individuals to visit all these spots. Transferring a taxi can be a hassle, especially since mud volcanoes are rough roads to get there. It protects you from trouble. ・Perhaps we can discuss changing the order of your visit, where to attend, and where to finish. There were actually people who got off halfway to their personal appointments.

Must visit when in Azerbaijan. Unique phenomena. It is a bumpy ride but well worth the inconvenience. A small tip to the local taxi fellow is much appreciated

It was a one-day tour that covered the highlights outside of Baku. Our guide, Turkel, was very kind. Seeing the scenery along the way, I was surprised to see that Azerbaijan is a country with floating oil and natural gas reserves. Did the trip to Gobustan with our tour guide Yusif. We ended up doing two different tours on two different days because we enjoyed it so much. Highly recommend going to the mud volcanos and swimming in the mud if you have the opportunity. Definitely a memorable highlight of our trip to Azerbaijan!

It was a perfect day, from the contact beforehand to the on-time pick-up, the detailed explanation of the tour guide Yusif and the smooth connection between the attractions.
