• Gecertificeerde gidsen Onze gidsen zijn gecertificeerd door AIMG (Association of Icelandic Mountain Guides). • Kleine groepen De groepsgrootte voor onze reizen is nooit groter dan 8 personen. • 4x4 rijden We rijden je helemaal naar de gletsjer. Dat betekent meer tijd die we op ijs kunnen doorbrengen. • Avondvertrek (juni - augustus) Als je de drukte wilt vermijden, neem dan deel aan onze avondtour en geniet van de volledige stilte.

Als je nog nooit een gletsjer hebt gezien en deze prachtige ijsreuzen een beetje dichterbij wilt ervaren, kom dan naar het adembenemende gebied van Skaftafell. Skaftafell ligt in het nationale park Vatnajökull, de filmlocatie van films zoals Batman Begins, Interstellar en de Game of Thrones-serie. Om de tijd die aan ijs wordt besteed te maximaliseren, rijden we helemaal naar het eindstation van de Falljökull-gletsjer in onze 4x4-truck. Voordat je op het ijs stapt, leer je de juiste manier om het voorziene gletsjertandwiel aan te trekken en te gebruiken. We proberen ongeveer anderhalf uur op het ijs door te brengen en moulins, kloven en andere formaties met andere woorden te verkennen. Onderweg deelt uw gids interessante feiten over deze formaties en de oorsprong van de gletsjer, evenals interessante lokale verhalen.

Cami, our guide, was amazing. She made sure to follow all the safety protocols while challenging us to hike at our highest potential. We had a great experience seeing the glacier and learning all about it.
The small group and the 4 wheel drive to the base, avoiding the long walk was great. Udi our guide was awesome.
Beautiful excursion, walking with crampons on the ice, the guide Uri was very nice, professional, and helpful; and also, compared to other groups we met, truly for small groups as they write, there were just seven of us Absolutely a must-do on a trip to Iceland
Fantastic experience! This is the company to go with. Only 6 people in our group and they drive you to the base of the glacier while others are hiking in. So you get to spend the majority of your time hiking on the glacier rather than getting there. Excellent guide was very helpful! Best experience of our Iceland vacation!
Small tour with only our family of four (max of 8). Jeep took us to the base of the glacier, so we could spend more time on the glacier. Willy was an excellent guide who taught us about the glacier and took us to special features like a newly forming waterfall.
Our experience hiking at Skatafell Glacier was outstanding! Our guide Stoney was very knowledgeable and took the time to explain everything with patience. I would highly recommend this tour for an incredible Iceland adventure.
It was pretty awesome. The glacier is majestic and imposing, especially when you hike out onto the bottom of it. Beautiful blue ice all over, and there was a stream of fresh glacier water we could drink from. Expert and very friendly guide, Vincenzo, who made us all feel very safe, explained lots of fascinating things about the glacier, and allowed us to go high up while also taking our time. We were a nice small group of only 7 or so — way better than the other big group we saw hiking down — and it just felt personalized and just right. Also true that we lucked out with some beautiful rare sunshine that allowed us to see lots of the glacier and the land between us and the sea.
Such a unique, fun, and educational experience! Especially happy we booked the this tour because we did not have to trek back to the vehicle in the rain!
