Een dagtour door Caïro naar de meest opmerkelijke oude locaties in het gebied de piramides van Gizeh, Sfinx en Dahshur en Sakkara. Tijdens de rondleiding kunt u de evolutie van het gebouw van de piramides volgen. Beginnend met Dahshur om de gebogen piramide te zien met zijn informele structuur en de rode piramide die een van de machtige grote piramides is die minder door toeristen wordt bezocht. In Sakkara ziet u de eerste poging om een piramide te bouwen in een stapachtige vorm, gedemonstreerd in stappiramide van koning Djoser. Vervolgens verken je de piramides van Gizeh met zijn eindvorm van de piramides en zijn enorme structuur en zie je de Sfinx.

Een dagtocht naar de piramides van Giza Dhashur en Sakkara is een dag ontworpen om de evolutie van het bouwen van piramides te verkennen. Je stopt bij de piramides van Gizeh, een van de wonderen van de oude wereld en ziet deze massieve structuren die werden gebruikt als graven voor de farao's. Je zult de drie piramides van koningen Cheops, Chephren en Mykeronis en de Sphinx zien.
Dashur is niet zo populair onder toeristen als bijvoorbeeld Gizeh met de grote piramides. Toch is er iets te zien. Dashur ligt op ongeveer 30 km van Caïro en daarom is het de moeite waard om hier te stoppen als je een excursie naar de Egyptische hoofdstad hebt. Dashur is beroemd om zijn piramides gebouwd tijdens het bewind van de grote farao Snofru. Trouwens, wetenschappers beschouwen deze structuren als de eerste graven in de geschiedenis van de koning, gebouwd volgens nieuwe soorten structuren. Een andere attractie in Dahshur is dat de gebogen piramide zijn naam dankt aan de onregelmatige vorm. Bij de constructie veranderden de bouwers om de een of andere reden de hoek van de gezichten. Misschien hebben de Egyptenaren gewoon een fout gemaakt, maar historici schrijven deze constructiebeweging toe aan de zorg van de architecten voor de sterkte en duurzaamheid van de piramide. Het belangrijkste ding, kan men zeggen, is het "revolutionaire" verschil tussen de Dashur Broken Pyramid en andere Egyptische structuren in die zin dat het twee ingangen heeft - de "traditionele" noordelijke en bijna geen zuidelijke.
Farao Djoser uit de III-dynastie was de eerste van de Egyptische farao's die een graf in Saqqara bouwden. Vóór hem werden alle farao's begraven in de stad Abydos. Hij richtte de eerste piramide in Egypte op, die hier tot op de dag van vandaag is bewaard. Het is de stappiramide van Joser die de belangrijkste plaatselijke attractie is.

Great tour with Martina to the pyramids and GEM
We booked all our travel and guides through Deluxe travel. We did a full itinerary and Hassan was continuously on standby if we wanted to change or add something to our program. All drivers were on time and very enthousiastic guides in Cairo, Alexandria, Luxor and Aswan. Would highly recommend if you want a no hassle trip in Egypt to see all the sites.
We waited for the driver for 40 minutes, but he didn't show up. There was no response on WhatsApp. Then they called (60 minutes into the tour) and said he was waiting for us. Haha.

Highly recommend this tour. Seeing the different styles of pyramids and learning about the evolution and culture was incredible. We had the option to go into some tombs and pyramids as well. Having a guide and driver made things so much easier. Our guide, Mo, was knowledgeable, personable, and fun - we definitely enjoyed our adventure with him.

I had received mixed reviews about going on this particular tour. We heard there wasn't much to see but in reality, I wished we had started with this one. It would have made the rest of our Egypt tour make more sense. And we have been everywhere. Zizou was very knowledgeable and through in his explanations. Very glad we went. I would sign up with him again if I return.
Everything to do with this tour was faultless - including initial communication, on the day arrangements and timing. Our driver Omar was excellent and Zizou, our brilliant guide, was endlessly fascinating (he is a qualified Egyptologist with a masters degree in hieroglyphics!). He brought the history of the Old Kingdom alive for us through his explanations and storytelling. If you are lucky enough to get Zizou as your guide you will not be disappointed.
We had an amazing day exploring the pyramids with Hosni our guide. Our itinerary was flexible and Hosni was able to plan a tour that covered all the sites we wanted to see. Our day was enriched by our guide’s historical knowledge and ability to explain past events. A delicious lunch was included. Mohammed our driver was excellent too.
Zizou was the perfect guide for our first visit to Egypt. His extensive knowledge of the history, language and legends made the pyramids and temples come to life. We had a wonderful time and are already planning to come back and learn more.
