De Grote Piramide van Gizeh (ook wel de Piramide van Khufu en de Piramide van Cheops genoemd) is de oudste en de grootste van de drie piramides in de Necropolis van Gizeh, grenzend aan wat nu El-Gizeh is. Het is de oudste van de zeven wonderen van de Ancient World, en de enige die grotendeels intact is gebleven. Egyptologen geloven dat de piramide werd gebouwd als een tombe voor de vierde dynastie. Egyptische farao Khufu (Cheops in het Grieks) en gebouwd over een periode van 14 tot 20 jaar die eindigde rond 2560 voor Christus. Je wordt opgehaald bij je hotel in Caïro om eerst de piramides van Cheops, Chephren en Mykerinos te ontdekken. Ga dan verder met een bezoek aan de Grote Sfinx, het hoofd van een farao met het lichaam van een leeuw dat dateert uit de tijd van Chephren. Deze sfinx is gemaakt om de bewaker te zijn van de piramides van koning Chephren. De tour omvat ook een bezoek aan de Vallei-tempel die behoort tot de piramides van Chephren. De tempel diende zeker twee doelen.

Wael was the best tour guide we had in Egypt! His driver and tour guide to-be, Abdul, was a great addition. Their English was perfect; Wael was full of good information; he helped us to get around Sakkara, Memphis, and Giza; and he provided us with more than what we paid for! That being said, the organization of the tour was a bit difficult. Although the tour guide was great, the agency could improve its communication with the clients. For instance, we did not know when or where we would be picked up until 2 days before the tour. We visited many things that were not advertised as well. So if you have something you want to see, you should mention it right away to your tour guide! For future travelers, prepare for a fun tour but be aware that you may have to wait a long time before being in contact with someone.
