Onze stadstour in Cusco onderscheidt zich door het bieden van een unieke ervaring die geschiedenis, cultuur en traditie bij elke stap combineert. Het begint comfortabel met het ophalen van je hotel en in het gezelschap van een deskundige gids verken je iconische plaatsen zoals de kathedraal van Cusco en Coricancha, waar je koloniale schatten en architectonische grandeur van de Inca's zult ontdekken. Daarnaast bezoekt u de forten van Sacsayhuaman, Tambomachay en Pucapucara, met hun indrukwekkende bouwwerken en mysteries. We eindigen bij een textielcentrum waar je het Andes-weefproces kunt leren en authentieke alpacakleding kunt kopen, waarmee je een onvergetelijke culturele onderdompeling voltooit.

De tour begint met ophalen bij je hoteldeur tussen 8.30 en 9.00 uur (tussen 12.30 uur en 13.00 uur voor de late dienst). Bezoek de kathedraal van Cusco, gelegen recht tegenover het plein, in het gezelschap van je gids. Daar ontdek je de koloniale en religieuze schatten van goud en zilver die de belangrijkste kerk van de stad nog steeds verbergt.
Samen met de gids gaan we een paar blokken verder naar de beroemde Coricancha-tempel, de belangrijkste in het Inca-rijk. Daar zullen ze de best vervaardigde constructies en de tempels van de zon, de maan, de sterren en meer bezoeken.
Vervolgens gaat de hele groep per minibus naar het fort Sacsayhuaman, waar ze de immense muren van rotsen met een gewicht tot 120 ton zullen bezoeken. Hoe vormden de Inca’s deze stenen?
In Qenqo vind je meerdere ruimtes in een kleine ruimte. Daar vind je een grote steen met houtsnijwerk waardoor je denkt dat het een ceremoniële ruimte is. Zoals tunnels met constructies die nog steeds niet goed te verklaren zijn.
Het wordt beschouwd als een militair fort. Het heeft de aanwezigheid van enkele ruimtes met fijn gesneden stenen en ook terrassen. Op deze Inca-site kun je prachtige landschappen waarderen en een sterke relatie hebben met Tambomachay.
Het lijkt een grote en ruime plek gewijd aan water. Dat wil zeggen, een ceremoniële tempel om water te aanbidden. Dit komt omdat het Inca-constructies heeft met fijn gesneden stenen, net als de belangrijkste tempels van Cusco en Machu Picchu.

Machu Picchu Terra made sure we had a great time in Cusco. We had Raul as our tour guide and he was very knowledgeable in showing us around city and its ruins. Love how he focused on the Inkan history and culture. The Machu Picchu Terra team was also very communicative via Whatsapp whenever we had questions or concerns. We also booked our Sacred Valley tour and Machu Picchu Circuit 2 Guide with them. Request for Yersino for MP! Same as Raul, he shared a lot about Inkan history and architecture. He had a nice and effective way of sharing stories about the Inkas.

Coco ended up being a fabulous and fun tour guide ONCE WE FINALLY MET UP WITH HIM! Almost missed the MAIN REASON WE CAME! It's very upsetting to feel panicked in a huge crowd of people looking for our guide! Coco was great, but not answering his phone and not being at the meeting spot (then changing the meeting spot 20 minutes before our ticket time was EXTREMELY UPSETTING AND UNPROFESSIONAL!) We DID enjoy our tour, but we came very far to experience this and almost missing it should NEVER HAVE HAPPENED.

I really enjoyed the excursion, you are taken to the cathedral and Coricancha (tickets included) the guide gives you adequate explanations. Then they take you to the four ruins and it is very interesting (tickets included)
