Excellent experience! Driver was on time and knew the roads well. Was definitely the way to go without a rental car. We actually booked in both directions and were very happy with both rides.

Our transfer took over 5 hours, with no traffic. There was no expectations set for the rest stop or how long each passenger had to get back on the van. Allow yourself a whole day of travel if you go with this option. Driver was a good driver but it wasn’t fun sitting in the van over 5 hours.

We took the shuttle from San Jose to La Fortuna. Mario was our driver and he was incredible. Had so many facts and even stopped the van halfway so we could spot a sloth in the wild! He was very accommodating and tended to all our needs. Can’t recommend him and Volcano Tours enough!
