De citadel van Machu Picchu biedt bezoekers een unieke benadering van de prachtige architectuur van de oude Inca-beschaving. De massieve muren in combinatie met de omliggende tropische bossen creëren een prachtige omgeving, exclusief voor de regio. De route naar Machu Picchu voert je door de Heilige Vallei van de Inca's, Ollantaytambo en Aguas Calientes, plekken die opvallen door zijn rijke geschiedenis en cultuur.

Reisroute
We halen je om 5:00 uur op bij je hotel in Cusco. Na een korte trip door de Heilige Vallei komen we aan in Ollantaytambo. Daar stap je op de trein naar Aguas Calientes, de toegangspoort tot Machu Picchu.
Rond 11:00 uur komen we aan in het kleine stadje Aguas Calientes. Aguas Calientes staat bekend om zijn natuurlijke warmwaterbronnen. De stad biedt tal van diensten voor toeristen, waaronder hotels en restaurants. Na aankomst in Aguas Calientes, stappen we in een bus naar de citadel van Machu Picchu. Deze korte rit duurt ongeveer 30 minuten.
Zodra we bij de ingang van Machu Picchu zijn aangekomen, zal onze gids je door de veiligheidscontroles helpen. Dan begint onze rondreis. Je bezoekt de koninklijke tombe, de tempel van de drie ramen, de Intihuatana en nog veel meer. Na de rondleiding ben je vrij om de citadel op eigen gelegenheid te verkennen. Je kunt ook de berg Huayna Picchu beklimmen, die naast de citadel ligt. Toegangskaarten voor deze berg moeten echter van tevoren worden gekocht, dus als u deze sector wilt verkennen, laat het ons dan weten voordat u de tour koopt.
Na de tour nemen we een bus terug naar Aguas Calientes. Daar kunt u lunchen in een van de vele restaurants die de stad te bieden heeft. Het is ook mogelijk om enkele van de lokale gerechten te proeven die op de lokale markt worden geserveerd. U bent vrij om de stad te verkennen. Een populaire activiteit is om naar de warmwaterbronnen te gaan, die toeristen een unieke kans bieden om een bad te nemen in het therapeutische water. Rond 18:45 nemen we de trein terug naar Ollantaytambo.
We komen rond 20:45 uur aan in Ollantaytambo. Vanaf daar rijden we terug naar Cusco. Je bent rond 22.30 uur terug in je hotel in Cusco.

Our Family recommends South American Exclusive Tours Peru Enterprise - SAMEXTOURSPERU. We met beautiful places and received such a warm treatment, it seemed that we had known each other forever. Fair enough prices, no setbacks or changes of plans and punctual pickups. One of the themes that made us feel very comfortable was that the tour took place simultaneously in English and Spanish.
