Deze Segway-tour is ontworpen voor mensen die gewoon het plezier van een geweldige rit willen ervaren zonder onderweg verhalen of geschiedenis te horen. De professioneel opgeleide en gediplomeerde gidsen leren en trainen je hoe je veilig een Segway bedient. De tour reist meestal over de zeewering tijdens een lange rit waar je de bries en de geuren van de zee zult ervaren. Onderweg heb je de mogelijkheid om foto's en video's te maken. Als je geluk hebt, zie je misschien zelfs de dolfijnen in de oceaan.

De Galveston Seawall is gebouwd na de Galveston orkaan van 1900 ter bescherming tegen toekomstige orkanen en is een zeewering in Galveston, Texas. De bouw begon in september 1902 en het eerste segment werd voltooid op 29 juli 1904. Van 1904 tot 1963 werd de zeewering uitgebreid van 3,3 mijl (5,3 km) naar meer dan 10 mijl (16 km).
De tour bezoekt kort het historische district waar we langs het bisschoppelijk paleis komen, ooit het kasteel van Gresham genoemd.
Onze gidsen laten u het geliefde Elissa-zeilschip zien - het officiële Tall Ship van Texas.
De tour eindigt in de haven van Galveston waar we meestal een adembenemende zonsondergang kunnen waarnemen.

We were 2 beginners, after a short time practicing in the alley, we were totally comfortable. Larry was our guide. He was very friendly, personable and knowledgeable. We toured around safely learning about the history of Galveston. He gave us recommendations for some free musuems, shopping and restaurants.

The guide was fun, funny, informative, & safe conscious! I would highly recommend this tour. Our group were not at all familiar with segways & after his guidance, riding like they had ridden numerous times in the past. They were sore & tired but ready to go again the following day.
Been coming to Galveston for years but never left the Seawall area. The tour was a great way to see amazing parts of the Island that I didn’t know existed plus hear lots of historical information. Highly recommend!
