Een majestueus architecturaal wonder dat boven het meer uittorent op een heuvel omringd door gekanteelde muren, het is een conglomeraat van binnenplaatsen, paviljoens, terrassen, gangen, kamers en hangende tuinen. De hoofdingang is via de drievoudig gebogen poort, de 'Tripolia' met acht marmeren portieken. De Maharana werden gewogen onder de poort in het goud, waarvan het equivalent werd verdeeld onder de bevolking.
Jagmandir is een paleis gebouwd op een eiland aan het Picholameer. Ook wel het ‘Lake Garden Palace’ genoemd, de bouw hiervan begon in 1620 en werd voltooid rond 1652. De koninklijke familie gebruikte het paleis als zijn zomerresort en voor het organiseren van feesten. Het paleis had zo'n impact op keizer Shah Jahan dat het de inspiratie werd voor een van de meest wondere wereldwonderen, de Taj Mahal.
De collectie op het terrein van het Garden Hotel bestaat uit een verscheidenheid aan vintage en klassieke voertuigen zoals Cadillac, Chevrolet, Morris enz. Die eigendom zijn van de Maharanas van Udaipur. Ze gebruikten deze auto's als luxe vervoermiddelen.
Maharana Pratap Smarak is een mooie historische site die is gewijd aan de beste held van Rajasthan Maharana Pratap. De site bevindt zich op de Moti Margi of Pearl Hill, en deze prachtige aanblik kijkt uit over het Fateh Sagar-meer en toont de beste pose van Maharana op zijn favoriete rit ‘Chetak’.
Een prachtig meer, over het hoofd gezien door een aantal heuvels aan de drie zijden en het Pratap-monument in het noorden, werd gebouwd door Maharana Fateh Singh. In het midden van het meer ligt Nehru Park - een prachtig tuin-eiland met een bootvormig café dat bereikbaar is via een plezierige boottocht.
Het schilderachtige meer dat Maharaja Udai Singh betoverde. Het werd later vergroot door de oprichter. Het meer is omgeven door heuvels, paleizen, tempels, zwemhonden en dijken. Twee eilandpaleizen, Jag Mandir en Jag Niwas (Lake Palace) aan het meer zijn adembenemend
De interessante verzameling die wordt tentoongesteld door dit Indiase volkskunstmuseum omvat volksjurken, ornamenten, poppen, maskers, poppen, volksmuziekinstrumenten, volksgoden en schilderijen.
Garden of the Maids of Honor Deze kleine siertuin was een populaire ontspannende plek waar koninklijke dames kwamen wandelen en vandaar de naam. De tuin heeft vele fonteinen in de vier prachtige zwembaden, gebeitelde kiosken en marmeren olifanten.

The city of lakes, Udaipur, treated well with rich culture as every building can be found in a palace-like structure. The boating in Fateh Sagar lake seems beautiful as the 30 minutes ride is absolutely peaceful and an amazing experience. City Palace has its own beauty and very well-maintained till date. There are events happening inside the palace in the evenings. There are electric-run vehicles as the pick-up/drop option to and from the palace because it is found on a huge height like almost a hill-top. Saheliyon ki bari is a wonderful place with fountains and gardens which seems pleasant. There are Rajasthani avatar costumes and clicks campaigns in many places to attract the tourists. TripAdvisor service for the booking is great as the details are sent promptly, and the service has been provided accordingly as per the request. The car sent is very neat, and the driver is a polite person with right knowledge on the city traffic, must-visit places, and worthy shopping experience. He gave great suggestions regarding various things such as sight-seeing places, the spots for yummy street food, restaurants, shopping, and took places where good ambience can be found. This package is recommended for a nice Udaipur day-tour.
The chauffeur Javed was a very polite person and cooperative. Explained things well about the city and other locations from the moment he picked me from the airport. I will definitely recommend this person for anyone who visits this place.
