Dompel jezelf onder in de boeiende geschiedenis van deze oude stad terwijl ik mijn diepgaande kennis en expertise deel. Laat mij je gids zijn door deze prachtige kerken, waar elke steen een verhaal bevat dat wacht om ontdekt te worden. Samen zullen we de geheimen van Lalibela's rijke erfgoed onthullen en getuige zijn van het opmerkelijke vakmanschap dat deze heilige wonderen tot stand heeft gebracht. Bij aankomst op de luchthaven zal een van onze deskundige gidsen u begroeten en u in een gedeelde auto naar uw hotel begeleiden. Na de incheckprocedures begint u aan een rondleiding door de uit de rotsen gehouwen kerken van Lalibela, te beginnen met de Noordwestelijke Cluster die uit 5 kerken bestaat. Van 12.00 tot 14.00 uur zijn deze kerken gesloten vanwege de lunchpauze. Gedurende deze tijd nemen wij u mee naar een van de beste restaurants van de stad waar u kunt genieten van een heerlijke maaltijd. In de middag, nadat de lunch is afgelopen, kunt u uw ontdekkingstocht voortzetten met een bezoek aan South-eastern Cluster, waar nog vijf kerken te vinden zijn. Ten slotte wordt u meegenomen naar misschien wel de beroemdste kerk van Lalibela, Bet Giyorgis, die werd gebouwd als eerbetoon aan Sint-Joris. Zodra alle kerken zijn bezocht, kunt u genieten van een uitnodiging voor het lokale leven door onze beroemde koffieceremonie in de stad mee te maken. Woon 's avonds traditionele livemuziek, dans en honingwijn bij in Torpedo, een populaire lokale bar. De volgende ochtend brengen wij u naar de luchthaven voor uw vertrek.

I had the fortune to have Abiy Tesfakiros as a tour guide in Lalibela for two days. He is an official guide. He knows a lot of stuff about the churches, took me to have some homemade beer, helped me getting postcards and supported me while booking another tour for another tour in Ethiopia. Good guide, better man. I do strongly recommend him as a tour guide if you are visiting Lalibela.
Our tour in Lalibela with Ayalew was very good and well organized from start to finish. He arranged everything smoothly, including transportation, guides, and all entrance fees for the rock-hewn churches and the Asheten Monastery. Transfers by tuk-tuk and taxis were perfectly coordinated, including our drop-off at the airport. The itinerary was well paced, the explanations were informative, and we always felt well taken care of. Everything was transparent and hassle-free, which made the experience very enjoyable. I would definitely recommend Ayalew as a reliable and professional guide in Lalibela.
