De Mount Moses Hike en St Catherine's Monastery Tour is de perfecte manier om de majestueuze schoonheid van de Sinaï te ervaren. Deze spannende eendaagse tour begint met een wandeling door de bijbelse woestijn, waar Mozes de berg van God zou hebben bereikt. Daar wordt u beloond met een prachtig uitzicht op de bergen bij zonsopgang. Na uw wandeling wordt u meegenomen naar het prachtige en historische Sint-Catharinaklooster, een van de oudste kloosters die nog bestaan. Binnen krijg je de kans om meer te weten te komen over de geschiedenis van deze speciale plek, waar enkele van de vroegste documenten over het christendom, het jodendom en de islam te vinden zijn. Aan het einde van je bezoek vertrek je met waardering voor zowel de natuurlijke schoonheid als het rijke culturele erfgoed dat Egypte te bieden heeft. Deze tour is geschikt voor alle leeftijden en fitnessniveaus, dus er is voor elk wat wils. Als je niet wilt wandelen, kun je kiezen voor een kameelrit helemaal de berg op.

Je reis begint om ca. 20:30 uur waar onze AC-minibus je ophaalt bij je hotel in Sharm en de reis naar St Catharine's National Park begint
Bij het Sint-Catharinaklooster zie je het oudste continu bewoonde klooster in Egypte, waar je prachtige fresco's, een moskee, een kerk, het brandende braambos, iconen, manuscripten en andere schatten zult zien. Dit middeleeuwse klooster ligt hoog boven de Sinaï-woestijn en werd gebouwd tijdens het Byzantijnse rijk. Het is sinds de oprichting de thuisbasis van monniken en is nog steeds een bloeiende christelijke gemeenschap.
Wandelen met de Mount Sinai-ervaring stelt je in staat om de hoogste toppen van de berg Sinaï te verkennen en te staren naar de prachtige oostelijke woestijn, terwijl je de beste zonsopgang bekijkt. Tijdens de wandeling kunt u kiezen voor een ritje op een kameel.
Na de rondleiding door het klooster beginnen we aan onze reis terug naar Sharm El Sheikh, waar onze AC-minibus je afzet bij je hotel.

The tour is excellent. It’s well organised. The guides are very friendly and make sure everyone gets up Sinai at their own pace. The views were spectacular. Maka is an excellent tour operator.

I have been on two trips with FunN Sun and they were the most horrible trips in my life. The guide who accompanied us up the mountain abused my daughter and I complained to the police. It was the worst experience for us. On another trip to the sea, the dive leaders also tried to abuse my friend by isolating her alone on the boat because she was not feeling fit to dive. When I told the Fun n Sun manager about this, he told me that I should never have complained! That's the last straw. Egyptian law is very strict with this kind of misdeeds. I invite you to file a complaint and above all to boycott this agency.
Hey Naima, We are really sorry that you had an unpleasant experience on your trip. After investigation I have found that you had previously removed your review after being contacted by our operational manager and she explained how the issue was not our fault and issued a full refund. We are not really sure why you re-added the review however let me clarify the situation again. The guide that harassed your daughter is a bedouin guide that is appointed at random by the Egyptian authorities in St. Catharines and this is the regular procedure with all tourists that hike mount moses. With that being said we already took all legal procedures with you and issue a transfer for you to Nuwaiba and back free of charge.
