Tour van Zagreb naar Slovenië hoogtepunten: Ljubljana, Postojna grot, Predjama kasteel Nadat we u hebben opgehaald (uw accommodatie / stadscentrum / luchthaven) is onze eerste stop de POSTOJNA-grot - de populairste karstgrot ter wereld. De grot is 's werelds meest fascinerende grot met prachtige grotformaties en diverse fauna. Grot tour is inclusief onvergetelijke rit op ondergrondse TREIN. Na een paar kilometer van Postojna Cave, de Karst wereld biedt een onvergetelijke ervaring een wereldberoemde GROT KASTEEL. 's Werelds grootste grotkasteel, genoteerd als een van de Guinness World Records. Als uniek kasteel behoort het tot de tien meest fascinerende kastelen ter wereld. We eindigen tour in de hoofdstad van Slovenië - charmante LJUBLJANA een verborgen juweeltje van Europa. Als Groene Hoofdstad van Europa 2016, met een groene ziel en een duurzame visie op ontwikkeling, biedt het uitstekend bewaarde groene ruimten, natuur en unieke architectonische uitstraling en levensstijl.

We beginnen meestal onze rondleidingen vanaf King Tomislav Square als je geen accommodatie of andere ophaallocatie hebt aangevraagd.
Het kasteel van Predjama ligt in de buurt van de grot van Postojna en is het grootste grotkasteel ter wereld. Al meer dan 800 jaar bewaakt het een rotswand, 123 meter hoog. Mysterieuze ondergrondse tunnels verbinden het met de grot direct daaronder. Het kasteel, dat ook een filmlocatie was, bood zijn legendarische eigenaar Erazem Predjamski onderdak in de 15e eeuw. Deze roofridder weerstond een belegering van meer dan een jaar in zijn kasteel met zijn ongelooflijke uiterlijk en locatie. Bezoekers kunnen een bus nemen tussen de Postojna-grot en het kasteel Predjama om beide attracties te bekijken.
Het pittoreske beeld van het centrum van Ljubljana is gekenmerkt door verschillende historische periodes en met name door de werken van de wereldberoemde architect Jože Plečnik. We zullen een wandeling maken door de oude binnenstad van Ljubljana.
De Postojna-grot is de enige karstgrot met een spoorweg, die meer dan 140 jaar geleden werd gebouwd. De unieke toeristentrein brengt je naar het ondergrondse netwerk van karstgangen, galerijen en zalen. Tijdens een rondleiding van anderhalf uur leer je over de belangrijkste karst-kenmerken: de grootste, 16 meter hoge stalagmiet bekend als de wolkenkrabber, het kristalwitte symbool van de Postojna-grot - de Briljante , het oudste ondergrondse postkantoor ter wereld en het beroemdste ondergrondse dier - de olm of de menselijke vis.

Excellent guide that picked me up at my hotel. She’s very personable, and really plans the entire day around your schedule. Plus knows the good spots for lunch and shopping. I’d suggest bringing your own headphones for the castle portion of the tour.
This was a lovely tour! Be careful though because someone has written a fake review - you DON'T get to see lake Bled. You have enough time for POSTOJNA caves and the unique experience of the little train (mind you, tickets are not included) and enough time for dinner in Ljubljana! There was some delay in the communication with the agency and also our driver arrived 15-20' late because it was raining and nobody informed us which was worrisome but all's well that ends well.
Over all it was a great experience and Milan, our tour guide, definitely contributed to its success.

This tour was amazing!! We had all the time we wanted to explore everything! Our driver was very good, very flexible with our schedule and very helpful. With this tour you can see all the main attractions of Slovenia in one day. Lake bled, predjama castle,the caves and ljubljana !! We surely reccomend this tour !!

This was a great private tour. Our guide was wonderful and the convenience of the private car was well worth the price. It was definitely a full day. We toured Lake Bled, Postonja Caves, and Ljubljana. We received great recommendations at each stop on what to do and where to eat. Would highly recommend!

WOW - What a day! Truly spectactular experience - extremely personal and very welcoming from the Get-Go. Our guide, Tanja, made us feel immediately at ease whilst we settled down for the drive towards Slovenia. We were expecting to become part of a larger group tour however, the personal touch (it was just the pair of us & Tanja) made a huge difference to the overall experience. We found Tanja to be extremely knowledgeable on a variety of subjects (not just relevant to the tour ie Brexit) and more than happy to answer any questions we had. POSTOJNA Caves were amazing. Our initial decent into the caves is by mini train for about 12 mins, at which point, we disembarked for the walk of approx 2 kms which includes some steps climbs and a rather daunting "Russian" Bridge between the Old & The New Caves. Next we drove onto Predjama Castle. This is believed to be the largest Cave Castle in the World. Tanja joined us for this tour. However, it was clearly obviously that Tanja was also extremely knowledgeable about the history of this location. For the 2nd time on the tour, we were both scared to cross another bridge, joining the current Cave Castle to the remains of the original cave castle behind it. You dont need much imagination to visualise what life would have been like in that place over the centuries. Next we drove to the final destination on the tour - LJUBLJANA Old Town. A beautiful tiny city where Tanja gave us a bit more of the history before recommending a Slovenian Restaurant serving traditional Slovenian food for a late lunch. And then - back to Zagreb (where we slept on the journey back whilst safe in the knowledge that Tanja wasnt). Overall - an amazing experience with a truly personal touch. Thank you very much Tanja.
