Zet koers op een volledige dag Fish Picnic cruise van Opatija om 8:30 AM naar de pittoreske eilanden Krk en Cres. Zwem en ontspan op de prachtige stranden van Malinska en Beli, en haal het meeste uit uw tijd op deze prachtige locaties. Houd er rekening mee dat het vertrekpunt voor Café Galija in de haven van Opatija ligt. We vragen u vriendelijk om ongeveer 10 minuten voor vertrek aanwezig te zijn om een soepel boardingproces te garanderen. The boat was overcrowded, there was no way to sit in the shade. The only spot was at the stern, where we had to sniff diesel fumes the whole time. The food was very simple and carelessly plated. The meat was fried very dry. We have received much better quality for a much lower price in other countries.
The staff on board were super friendly and helpful. It is a long sail to the islands but you will never get bored on the sea and on the mountains, especially if you have been able to spot some dolphins! The islands of Krk and Crest are beautiful from the sea, obviously overgrown by tourists but it is certainly not walking over the heads. After all, we are also there as tourists. The snacks and drinks were good and the fish for lunch was delicious - although you could also choose meat or veggie. We got a nice day for little money!

The locations visited were very busy. It offered no added value for me to be on a boat twice 2.5 hours before. The boat itself was rather packed. Liquor was from the Lidl, wine from a plastic bottle. Food was good though!

Overall we had a pleasant experience. The crew was very nice and helpful! They were always smiling and busy keeping the boat tidy. The beaches were rocky/pebbles (as expected - bring watershoes!) and beautiful water. Perfectly refreshing on a hot day! The food was delicious. That being said, there were a few pitfalls that were worth noting. I would bring some snacks, especially if you have kids who get extra hungry from swimming.. The snacks onboard are light. Also, it's worth bringing your own water/beverage because or table ran out of the soda & water by lunch. Which left us drinking our water the remaining 5 hours. Speaking of time, our tour lasted 9.5 hours rather than the 8hrs as stated. Things seemed to be running smoothly so not sure where we lost so much time but the parking lot is prepaid parking for specific hours and we were an hour over the alotted time. Lastly, expect to be sailing for approximately 5.5-6hrs of the 9.5hours. Overall, we enjoyed this and thought it was a great different perspective of Croatia - to see it from the sea! We just wanted to note a few things we wish we had expected, especially since we had young kids (under 4 years old) so I hope this helps someone else :)
