Here’s a version written in the first person: I had a fantastic truffle hunting and gnocchi cooking experience with Miro Tartufi. Booking directly was easy and everything was well organised from the start. From the moment I arrived, I was made to feel welcome by the warm and friendly family, making it a truly authentic Istrian experience. The truffle hunt was great fun, fascinating and unlike anything I’d done before. It was clear how passionate and knowledgeable the family are, and I learned so much about truffles and the traditions behind hunting them. The gnocchi cooking session was equally enjoyable, and it was wonderful to sit down afterwards and enjoy the delicious meal I’d helped prepare. The food was outstanding, the portions were generous, and the wine was excellent. This was a unique and memorable experience that I’d highly recommend to anyone visiting Istria.

I went truffle hunting with my family and the experience could not have been better. There the people are supper hospitable and nice, always happy and answering our questions, and the food could not be better. The truffles are fresh and the meals are deliciously prepared local products. In the end the experience was incredible, I would recommend it without hesitation.

Some experiences deserve to be on everyone's bucket list. Truffle hunting in Istria is one of them. At Agriturismo Miro, we spent the morning wandering through Motovun forest with Miro and his magnificent dogs Jacqui and Lila . Golden Istrian light broke through towering oaks, the kind of silence where every twig and every rustle feels like part of the hunt and then, the thrill: a deep hole in the earth, dogs digging furiously, and a race against time to claim the truffle before he did. Back at the hilltop table in Motovun, the real magic continued. Petra and Maya waited for us with antipasti, truffle eggs. homemade bread, chocolate truffle mascarpone cake and Istrian wines and brandy to finish it. Watching truffles shaved over each dish felt like watching an artist with their favourite brush - a small masterpiece on every plate. The aroma alone could fill a thousand words. But some things you simply have to taste to understand. 🐾🖤

This is one of the best experience we have done in Croatia! The dogs Jackie and Ella are so fun and cute. Miro took us on a hunt and we found a lot of truffles. He is a great guide and the history of his family is interesting. They are family owned.. Its a must to do the cooking class too! The best Truffle eggs and gnocchi I hae ever had. We got to eat our truffles that we found. It was not touristy mid June. Worth going to Motovun for this experience!

Went on a truffle hunt with our guide Petra! The dogs found 5 truffles and we were able to dig some up! After we went back to their house and had an amazing meal!! Highly recommend this tour!!

Amazing truffle hunting experience, we learned a great deal about truffles & truffle hunting, from the process of raising the hunting dogs down to how the market rates of truffles fluctuate. Miro, Petra and their team were very friendly, warm, and welcoming. The food was incredible, especially the cake that was served for dessert. Their products were of great taste and quality, and they were all extremely good value for money.
