Lovely relaxing place but instructions could be clearer. Was told not to take towels through then got shouted at because I didn't have my towel when I came out. The staff in the ladies changing rooms were so rude!!
There are many levels of pools. No one told us we just sat at the end. Would have loved to see it all
The pool itself was lovely. Getting there was a hot mess. The company’s website says that the meeting point for the free shuttle bus is at the Cultural Center, but instead it was in the parking lot behind the EuroCar rental area (green sign). When I finally found the correct place to catch the shuttle, the lines were incredibly long, and the shuttle bus was more of a van. Someone in line near me helped to find a woman in one of the nearby wooden sales huts to give us a ride in her van. She charged what amounted to about $60 in USD, but we were relieved that we made it for our 10 am reservation at the pool. Drinks cost about $29 at the pool, but mine was included in my package. Getting back to my cruise ship was also frustrating because there was another line for the free shuttle, and some people are rude and skip the line. I wish I had this day to do over, and I would have done it differently. I may have picked something else to do, or I would have arranged some other transportation so I wouldn’t have to deal with crowds and lines and worrying about making my reserved time or making it back to my boat.
We visited this lagoon recently and it was a nice experience, overall. It’s nestled alongside the trees which makes it very relaxing. The staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. The women’s locker room and changing area are sizable and offer shampoo, conditioner, body wash and hair dryers. Huge plus is the swimsuit spinner, which is helpful to help dry out your suit before leaving. I liked that they have seating around the perimeter of the lagoon and tables inside for your drinks. I gave it 4 stars because they don’t provide towels unless you pay for them, the parking lot is on the smaller side and it’s not as private as other lagoons. The day we were there, there were workers trimming trees in the wooded area behind above the lagoon. Plus, being off a main road, you can hear a lot of traffic noise. All that said, it was still a great experience and I’d recommend it and visit it again. They also seem to be adding on, so next time it’ll be larger.
One of the worst lagoons in Iceland. Beautiful scenery but ruined by kids being allowed to run around and PLAY in the pool. The showers were beyond dirty with hair everywhere and not enough of them. The lagoon itself was way too packed. Not worth the money. As a tourist, AVOID it. Was more of a community pool than anything.
Beautiful spot. Well organised and so relaxing. We spent nearly two hours there and felt so relaxed afterwards.
A really beautiful place and ohhh so relaxing.
Fabulous day - we bought our tickets from Viator, and got a free shuttle from the cruise port to the venue. Ticket included a towel and free drink. All public areas were spotless, and the pools were amazing -strongly recommend it!
Sublime friends and family friendly, liked that locals were there, a good sign
This was a very relaxing spa, not very crowded with beautiful scenery as the backdrop. Our family thoroughly enjoyed our visit!
