Ervaar enkele van de beste die het noorden te bieden heeft tijdens de winter tijdens onze Forest Lagoon & Northern Lights tour. De avond begint met een korte rit naar de Forest Lagoon geothermische baden waar u de mogelijkheid krijgt om te ontspannen in het warme water. Met uitzicht op een van de langste fjorden van IJsland, Eyjafjörður, onderscheidt de unieke locatie van het kuuroord, omringd door berken en pijnbomen, het echt. Tijdens het bezoek aan de Forest Lagoon zullen de gasten het uitzicht, de rust en de energie van Vaðlaskógur ervaren, het bos dat de baden omringt. Voor de tweede helft van de tour nemen onze ervaren gidsen je mee naar buiten Akureyri om de meest fascinerende vertoningen van kunst in de natuur te zien, de Aurora Borealis, of het noorderlicht zoals we ze graag noemen. Het noorderlicht bekijken voor deze winter lijkt zeer actief te zijn en er zijn weinig betere plaatsen om ze te zien dan in het noorden rond Akureyri.

- De Northern Lights tour is onderhevig aan de weers- en hemelomstandigheden en we behouden ons het recht voor om op elk moment te annuleren. Als de avondtour doorgaat en het noorderlicht niet wordt gezien, bieden we de reis de volgende keer dat we een boeking hebben gratis opnieuw aan.

What a mindblowing experience! Firstly we went to the Forest lagoon and spent such a wonderful time there, relaxing in hot water with pina colada with a forest view. It was snowing while we were there which made the experience even more magical and movie-like. And then the best part of the tour came. We’ve almost lost the hope of seeing Northern lights that night as it was cloudy and other tours were cancelled but our guide was so confident and just knew WHERE to go! After driving for about an hour we saw Aurora!!! We couldn’t believe our eyes. It was so bright and massive, spreading across the whole sky! We were watching this “show” for an hour: it was dancing in the sky and constantly moving and changing its shape. And the observation spot was between snowy mountains, like in a fairy tale. We were literally screaming and jumping out of happiness because it was so stunning and because our dream came true. And this is thanks to our highly experienced and enthusiastic guide. We are so grateful to him!! He’s a magician who found bright Northern lights in a cloudy day! 15.02.2026

We loved this trip. The forest lagoon was amazing. The Northern lights trip was excellent. Our guide Sigi was great at finding the right spot and he kindly even helped us out by taking some photos as our cameras on our phones weren't good enough to get a good photo. Highly recommend.

Sigi was an amazing guide & would recommend to everyone. There were only 2 of us so we ended up with a private tour & very happy it wasn't cancelled. Sigi took a scenic route to get the most out of the tour. We were lucky w the lights & he made multiple stops for us to get out & enjoy them. He also took some amazing photos which he shared with us after. Can't recommend this tour enough

Forest Lagoon was nice. Went in the evening after it got dark and the view across the fjord was very pretty. We had enough time to really relax and enjoy it. Afterwards we went on the hunt for the northern lights and Siggi, our guide, tried a few spots and soon found a perfect place for us to see them. All of a sudden a spectacular show was there for us to enjoy. Thanks Siggi, you gave us a memorable night.
