Keramiek is overal in Fez - van het opvallende blauwe aardewerk tot de ingewikkelde mozaïeken die fonteinen en riads versieren. Art Naji is de plek om naar de real deal te gaan. Het centrum is een professionele operatie, en gratis gidsen nemen je mee door het hele productieproces, van pottenwerpen tot het moeizame handschilderen en het ophangen van zellige (kleurrijk geometrisch mozaiektegelwerk) - het is een genot om te aanschouwen.
De leerlooierijen van Chaouwara zijn een van de meest iconische bezienswaardigheden (en geuren) van de stad en bieden een uniek venster in het doordringende, natuurlijke proces van het produceren van leer van wereldklasse met methoden die sinds de middeleeuwen nauwelijks zijn veranderd
Dit museum is gevestigd in een prachtig gerestaureerde funduq, een oude herberg die werd gebruikt door reizende kooplieden die hun goederen beneden opsloegen en verkochten en hun onderkomen namen op de verdiepingen erboven. Gecentreerd op een binnenplaats, zijn de kamers ingericht met displays van traditionele artefacten van ambachtsgereedschap, dikke gebedskralen en Berberse sloten, kisten en muziekinstrumenten. Alles is mooi gepresenteerd, hoewel het prachtige gebouw de exposities een run voor hun geld geeft. Het café op het dak heeft een geweldig uitzicht over de medina. Fotografie is verboden in de buurt van de exposities, maar is toegestaan op de binnenplaats en vanaf het dak. Toegangsprijzen niet inbegrepen: 20DH
Een van Afrika's grootste moskeeën en mogelijk de oudste universiteit ter wereld, dit complex is het spirituele hart van Fez en Marokko zelf. Het is zo groot dat het moeilijk te zien kan zijn: door de eeuwen heen hebben de straten en huizen van de Kairaouine-wijk zo veel invloed op het gebouw uitgeoefend dat ze de ware vorm ervan verbergen. Niet-moslims kunnen niet binnenkomen.
De Bab Abi al-Jounoud of Bab Bou Jeloud is een sierlijke stadspoort en de belangrijkste westelijke ingang van Fes el Bali, de oude stad van Fez, Marokko.

We like to go on guided walks when we first arrive at a destination to not only inform us about the culture, history and sites but, also to help with our familiarisation and orientation. And this worked a treat. The souk is vast and interesting. The guide was pleasant and informative.

The tour guide was nice and knowledgeable, I definitely learned some interesting things about Fès. The highlight for me was visiting the ceramics factory. The tour of the Medina itself involves going into several businesses who would explain a bit about their craft and ask if you want to buy anything. I did feel a little like the sellers were annoyed when no one in our group(there were only 3 of us) bought anything. Though this may just have been my British awkwardness. All in all I would recommend, especially for someone who has just arrived to Morroco, it is a great introduction to the some of the different industries here.
Our guide was incredible. He knew every single place of the old town, which is really necessary for every visitor in Fez. With him we had the chance to enter to places where is difficult to enter if you are just a random visitor. He explained the historical sites of the Medina. Overall incredible experience
