Excursie naar Rainbow Mountain Palcoyo vanuit Cusco

We passeren uw accommodatie waar u ook verblijft, bij voorkeur in het historische centrum van de stad Cusco. De ophaalservice begint om ongeveer 04.00 uur. Daarna gaan we naar het zuiden van Cusco, naar de stad Cusipata waar we onze eerste stop zullen maken om te ontbijten. Voordat we de stad Palccoyo bereiken, maken we een stop om enkele foto's te maken van de bezienswaardigheid van de koloniale brug en de Incabrug. Aangekomen bij de Palccoyo-berg (4.900 meter boven zeeniveau) hebben we vrije tijd om te fotograferen en van de plek te genieten. We zullen ook een deel van Nevado Ausangate kunnen observeren. We keren terug naar de parkeerplaats om terug te keren naar Cusipata waar we zullen lunchen en uiteindelijk keren we terug naar de stad Cusco (aankomst ongeveer om 18:00 uur), onze mobiliteit laat u één blok verwijderd van de Plaza de Armas (Plaza Regocijo )

Very good guide, very good agency. Nothing to complain about regarding the organization.
The overall experience was fantastic. Arnaldo the driver picked us up and did a great job driving. Edward the guide was very informative, friendly and took great care of us, especially due to the snowy environment. A marvelous event to remember.
Tour bus arrived on time. Meals provided were great. Tour guide, Wilfredo, was accommodating and didn’t rush the hike.
A few days before the date of our tour contracted the travel agency contacted to confirm and guide about our tour. On the day of the tour, 5min before arriving at my hotel, the guide Rodrigo called me to warn that he was coming to pick us up at the time of the tour. Everything went very well on the journey, the breakfast and lunch included, as well as in Palcoyo, which is beautiful. Rodrigo gave us all the necessary attention. We like it a lot.
Pick up was really messy. Buffet during lunch was clearly unhygienic with flies on the fresh salad visible. When I told Pablo the guide, he made sure this specific salad was replaced, but the flies where everywhere. It is no surprise to me that me and my friends got food poisening, even though we tried to avoid the salad. The rest of the tour was well organised.

When I booked the excursion on the TripAdvisor website, my pickup and drop-off was scheduled at my hotel in Cuzco -Torres Dorada. This hotel was selected from the dropdown while booking.However on the day before I received a WhatsApp msg saying that I had to walk or taxi to the pachacutec square and be there by 440 am and I would be picked up between 440 and 455 am because my hotel was not exactly in downtown area. I had no choice but to comply, but was disappointed. I was there by 435 am, and waited till 450 am when I sent them a WhatsApp msg asking as to how I'll recognize the bus. I was told to take a picture of myself and send it back which I did. 10 mins later, a guy came in a car picked me up and took me downtown where I transferred to a bus. Then the bus waited there for about 40 mins before leaving and passed through pachacutec square! They could have given me an extra hour's sleep and asked me to be there at 540am instead. I was quite disappointed with the arrangement. However after this bad experience everything went well and I would have rated 5/5 if only they had done a better job of pickup and drop off. The guide John was excellent, took good care of all of us and explained everything along the way. The bus driver was excellent as well.
Arriving at Palcoyo felt like discovering a hidden corner of the Andes, away from the crowds but full of magic. What surprised me the most was the calmness of the place—you could truly pause and take in every color, every mountain. Valentina made everything more meaningful with her explanations; she didn’t just talk about history, she made you feel part of it. There was a moment at the viewpoint when the wind and the landscape came together in an unforgettable way. Also, thanks to the team for such impeccable organization—you can really tell when there’s dedication behind the service.

Please do not use this agency, there are plenty others! I booked a tour, there was no confirmation, no communications. The activity was supposed to start 4am, late afternoon the day before I started to get worried (it was my last day in Cusco and I didn't want to waste it), so I message them on the numbers they provided with the booking - no response (even the emergency number), I was in town so I found the office - it was closed. I asked Get Your Guide for assistance, they called several times again no response. At that point I booked with another agency because I assumed this trip was not happening. At 22.30pm they messaged me "sorry for the inconvenience, but we are charging you full price".
