Het is een indrukwekkende dag wandelen in de Cordillera Vilcanota, "die zeer dicht bij de hoogste en heilige berg in het zuiden van Peru, de Ausangate (6.377 meter) genoemd. Deze" Apu "drager van het leven is de beschermer van een van de meest ongerepte ecosystemen ter wereld. • 04.00 uur We begonnen onze passagiers op te halen van de verschillende accommodaties waar ze vinden elkaar. • 04.45 uur We gaan richting het district CUSIPATA. 6.30 uur Aankomst in de wijk naar CUSIPATA waar we zullen hebben ons ontbijtbuffet voor 30 minuten. Om dan verder te gaan met onze reis.
• 1 uur en 30 minuten enkele reis. (ongeveer) 40 minuten bezoek in de berg van kleuren. (WINICUNCA) • 1 uur en 15 minuten (ongeveer) terug naar waar de mobiliteit. 12 uur. Aankomsttijd ongeveer te voet van de snelweg en zodra de groep dit.
We begonnen aan onze terugkeer naar het district CUSIPATA. • 13:00 uur Geschatte aankomst in ons restaurant waar we zullen hebben de lunchbuffet, voor 30 of 40 minuten. • 13.40 uur We keren terug naar de stad Cusco. •15:30 uur. Geschatte tijd van aankomst in de stad Cusco. (AFHANKELIJK VAN VERKEER)

Super good experience and very good care from Jonathan as a guide and from the agency at all times. In addition to climbing the colorful mountain we went to the red valley, super recommended.

It was a great experience. The guide has given us an optimal service from the pickup and a very good accompaniment the whole excursion. The restaurant breakfast and food also very good.
Tour was good - great views, a bit of exercise, entertaining guide. Would give 5 stars except we were not informed of the change in pick-up time 45 minutes later than originally scheduled).

Very entertaining departure, including both managers (guide and driver) very friendly and careful at all times. By the chosen places (restaurant and route) the children could enjoy close to the llamas and alpacas.

This tour was Great value for what it included and that’s all we liked about the tour. Our guide, Frankie, was not the best guide we’ve had for the trip. Our tour group consisted of primarily Spanish speakers and my fiancé and I were the only ones who spoke English. He explained one thing in the beginning in English but the rest of the time he explained everything in Spanish. With my limited Spanish, I caught a few words and was able to ask for clarification. For example, he explained, in Spanish, to us about the horse rental. I knew I wanted to rent a horse and had I not known the Spanish word for horse, we would have missed it. He told us the cost was 90 soles but I think that was the cost for a round trip as the horse back to the bus area was 60 soles. He also told us we had to be back at the bus at 11:30am. We disembarked the horses just before the top at 10am and decided to walk back to the bus. We bumped into him on our walk back and he confirmed that the time to be back at the bus was 11:30am. Being that the altitude made it very difficult for me to move my legs and breathe, we thought we’d walk back to the bus because we only had an hour and a half. The walk back was much more difficult than anticipated and it really did take us the entire hour and a half. But everyone did not come back to the bus until maybe 12:30pm. Had we known we had an extra hour we might have tried to make a better effort to make our way to the top where the beautiful view was. We asked Franky about the altitude medications and he said he’d help us locate them at the market but he never did. We thought we’d be fine with just cocoa tea but the altitude was just a lot to deal with. He also did not explain anything about the history or discovery about the Rainbow Mountains. Or maybe he did explain it in Spanish and we just didn’t understand him. He has a lot of maturing to do as a tour guide if he wants to make good money in the industry.

Last month, I did a tour to Rainbow Mountain with Machu Picchu Journey travel Agency. Well, it started earlier in the morning, but I should say the car was pretty nice. I traveled with comfort. We had our breakfast and buffet lunch in a restaurant, the food was divine, we had a great chef. Once we arrived at the mountain, we started walking, the Tour guide was encouraging us to keep going until we did it. Then he explained to us why it has its peculiar color. The best thing was that the workers accompanying us were really friendly and absolved every question we had. I will surely go again with the same agency
