De heilige vallei van de Inca's is de populairste route in Peru. Omdat het een cruciaal gebied was voor het Inca-rijk en dat functioneerde als een agrarisch, spiritueel en politiek centrum. Tijdens de tour zullen we prachtige landschappen en archeologische vindplaatsen Inca en Pre-Inca waarderen. Veel toeristen kiezen ervoor om deze excursie te maken vóór uw bezoek aan Machu Picchu, omdat u kunt kiezen om te eindigen in Ollantaytambo vanwaar u de trein neemt naar Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu-stad). Opmerking: als je al in de stad Cusco bent, is het raadzaam om deze tour door de heilige vallei van de Inca's te maken om bij te dragen aan de acclimatisatie, omdat het op een lagere hoogte is. • We halen je om 8:00 uur op om richting de ruïnes van Pisaq te gaan. Hier zul je getuige zijn van en leren over de Inca-cultuur. • In Pisaq zullen we ongelooflijke kunstwerken in steen en indrukwekkende landbouwterrassen waarderen. Na het verkennen keren we terug naar de laagste stad van Pisaq om te stoppen bij de ambachtelijke markt.
• Na wat tijd door de markt te hebben gelopen, keren we terug naar mobiliteit om de hoofdstad van de heilige vallei "Urubamba" te bereiken, waar we een heerlijk lunchbuffet zullen hebben (typisch Andes-eten).
• Na de lunch maken we een tocht langs de Urubamba-rivier tot we de stad Ollantaytambo bereiken, waar we een rondleiding krijgen door het archeologische centrum.
• Op de terugweg naar Cusco bezoeken we de stad Chinchero, bekend als de stad van de regenboog, waar we de kerk van Onze-Lieve-Vrouw van Monserrat zullen kennen, gebouwd in 1607. Op het paleis van Tupac Yupanqui zullen we ook Andenería en zijn ambachtelijke markt. • Geschatte aankomsttijd 18:00 uur

They made me wait for 1 hour because they gave me the wrong instructions, scheduling me 1 hour earlier, and when I saw that they were not arriving at the time they mentioned, I tried to contact the agency, and they did not respond until 1 hour later. The visit to Chinchero was almost just seeing it from the outside due to the time and lack of organization. The only good thing about the agency is the guide, who knows a lot of history, and I really enjoyed the visit to the indigenous people who weave and teach you how they process alpaca wool.
A very complete day . We traveled through different towns, saw amazing views, and learned about the Incas while enjoying the beauty of the valley.It was nice to take photos, shop in markets, and enjoy the mountain air.
Tour operator didn't show up despite having re-confirmed a few days prior to tour. I was waiting at pick up point for more than an hour and no-one picked up my calls. My accommodation host had to help out by calling on her phone, which was picked up but the answer was always the same that they would check and call back, but they did not call back. Eventually, I got a message asking me to cancel the tour or reschedule it, for another day. I cancelled it as that was the only day I had in Cusco and I had to reach Aguas Calientes by that evening so booked a cab that took me to Ollantaytambo. I ended up not having the anticipated tour of the Sacred Valley. Overall, not reliable or professional tour operator, who caused me to miss me a much looked forward introduction to the Sacred Valley.
The excursion was incredible, the view is spectacular, without a doubt I would spend this beautiful experience again, I recommend it🤩🥰
