We had an incredible experience on the Alternative Athens food tour with Andreas! From start to finish, he was knowledgeable, engaging, and genuinely passionate about both Athens and its food culture. He did a fantastic job blending the city's history with each food stop, making the experience feel like much more than just a tasting tour. Our "Great Eats and Street Food Tour" with Alternative Athens was an absolute highlight of our trip! Our guide, Antigoni, was amazing. Not only did she introduce us to incredible local flavors, but she also gave us wonderful insights into everyday life in Athens alongside fascinating historical background of the different neighborhoods we visited. We greatly appreciated our experience. We were able to taste several local specialties (generous portions, to consider for smaller appetites), the food was excellent. We were able to discover places that we would not have known otherwise than with a local guide; it was very typical and an authentic experience. Our guide Nikos was very friendly, attentive, and very interesting. We highly recommend it. The stroll through the Plaka and Monastiraki neighborhoods was also very pleasant.
Simos our guide took us on a walking food tour filled with traditional Greek dishes and brought the history of Athens to life.
