"Matcha Calligraphy ®" kan genieten door visuele, olfactieve en natuurlijke veranderingen van de natuur. Naarmate de tijd verstreek, hoewel de kleur van Matcha geleidelijk verandert en vervalt, lijkt het alsof je verandering ziet in de vier seizoenen in Japan. Op de een of andere manier nostalgische, eerlijke en mooie kunst die onze vijf zintuigen raakt. Het is ook een moment waarop je voelt dat je leeft in de natuur. Wanneer ik Matcha Calligraphy doe, herinner ik me Master Calligrapher van haar grote afstand, die mij heeft beïnvloed. En ik herinner me de theetuin rond de kalligrafiekamer van mijn grootvader. Ik voel me in veiligheid en met liefde. Het lijkt de "stilte / zen" tijd in te gaan. Het is soms een gelegenheid om naar jezelf te kijken. Ik hoop dat Matcha Calligraphy één ding zal zijn om 'Matcha', 'Groene thee' en 'Japan' te kennen. en veel mensen ervaren en voelen de schoonheid van "Matcha Calligraphy ®"

I joined Shoran's calligraphy session with my two kids at Maruzen Tea Roastery, only a few minutes from Shizuoka Station. The setting was calm and inspiring, surrounded by the aroma of tea. Shoran is a wonderful teacher. She patiently guided us through the brush strokes and shared insights that made shodō feel approachable yet meaningful. She also talked about her favorite spots in Shizuoka, making the whole experience feel personal and connected to the local culture. The pace was perfect for both adults and children. We ended with a cup of green tea for me and matcha shaved ice for the kids, which felt like the sweetest way to close our time together. This was more than a class. It was a chance to slow down, connect, and experience a piece of Japanese tradition in a memorable way. Thank you Shoran!
The Matcha Calligraphy with Shoran was wonderful. There were four of us (two couples) and we all had a very relaxing and enjoyable time learning calligraphy. She is a very patient teacher and gave us alternate ways to work through the issues we were having with painting.
